Maxine has wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember and wrote her first (very short) book about an elf for school when she was ten and won a book token. Best. Prize. Ever.

As years went by, she continued to write, but 'normal' work often got in the way. She has written articles on a variety of subjects, as well as a local history book on Brighton. However, novels are her first love.

She is the best selling author of 'Things Are Looking Up', '#NoFilter', and the Kindle UK top ten read, 'The Christmas Project' among others.

When not wrangling with words, she loves to read, sew and listen to podcasts. Being a fan of tea and cake means she can (should!) also be found out on a walk.

This was an ok read but the CONSTANT self depreciating I'm not a supermodel nobody loves me thing got really annoying and I ended up skimming over parts of it.

The most annoying female lead character that I've read in a long time. She claims in the novel that she's an e x pert on the Mr Men books. She could be Little Miss Insecurity. She got very wearing very quickly. If I'd paid for this, I would have been asking for my money back!

Just a bit boring and predictable. No twists or turns, no funny bits, not particularly like able characters and conversations about nothing in particular went on for ages..... Lots of people obviously enjoyed this book but it just wasn't for me.

I loved this book!

I liked the group friendship and how the group grew but I really loved the friendship between Bee and Luca and how much she fitted into his family. I adored hearing how her confidence grow throughout the book and what better day did I pick to read this on international woman's day.

Maxine Morrey has become one of my favourite authors. I have connected to every character I've read.

Loved meeting Luca and how it was obvious he liked his best friend Bee and how he was always there for her and how she liked him. Liked all the friends they had and how they also looked out for both of them. A lovely romance and a book that brings a smile to your face. Glad they got their happy ending and will reread it again. Even when falling out with each other they still cared for one another. A nice story. Even the dating app with their experiences brought a smile.
