Lords of Mercy: Royals of Forsyth U (Royals of Forsyth University Book 3) Kindle Edition
I came back to Forsyth and agreed to be their Lady for two reasons: protection and revenge.
I put up with the abuse, the degradation, the humiliation, and bided my time. I wanted vengeance and I took it. The Lords give as good as they get and the consequences were fierce, but there’s one truth when it comes to Killian, Dimitri and Tristian.
They keep what’s theirs.
They wanted to break me, but instead, they molded me into their perfect weakness. They fought for me. Bled for me. Championed for me. I was put through the gauntlet and came out stronger. I earned the title of Lady.
Then they became my weakness.
I agreed to sleep under their roof, but on my terms. No more rules, no more punishments, no cameras or dress codes or sneaking into my bedroom. In return, I'll give them a chance to earn the title of Lord.
Building trust takes time, but with all the threats nipping at our heels, that’s a luxury we don't have. We have to rely on one another despite our complicated pasts—to find a murderer, a stalker, and a traitor.
This new life of pain, wrath, and mercy is a confusing maze of twists and turns. Fortunately for us, there will always be one fixed constant, guiding us home:
The Royal we.

So, books 1 and 2 have a mix of reviews, some who loved them, and others who were struggling with the mix of assault, non consent, dub consent, emotional abuse etc. Honestly those people weren't wrong, which is why these books come with trigger warnings. I think that's probably why I didn't review them, I think I was conflicted between the horrendous treatment received and wanting to see how it turned out, but how do you leave a bad review for an author for the content included when you've been warned not to read it if you get triggered or find it offensive? I also struggle with reading books that romanticise abuse, but keep reading bully romance, go figure.
So I was relieved to hit book 3 where our main characters have turned a corner where consent is now a requirement and previous behaviour is no longer accepted.
In this book, we see the damage of the main characters and we see them learn how to be together. I'm glad that after the end of book 2 that not everything is perfect immediately.
As for the Ted storyline, I can't help but wonder if that was in fact planned from the start, or if plans changed. It just felt like there were maybe scenes from previous books that didn't quite line up, that were only settled by passing comments.
We do get to see an extended ending in this book for our main characters, which to be honest I was in 2 minds about. Once I'm at the end of a book I tend to get impatient and sometimes struggle to focus if it goes on too long. That being said, I think it was handwork well in this book though I did get a little distracted.
At the end of this book, there was an intro for the next book with a new female lead and 3 guys who may in fact be worse than the ones from this storyline. I ... will have to consider whether I'll read that 1 or not.
Killian becoming a toothless tiger, desperately hanging on for crumbs from his step sister aka story was stupid. I still say she should have either chosen him 100% or just stayed 100% with Rath & Tristan that 3sum works better. Killer should have had a rival from book one a woman who in the end accepted him 100% and was able to teach, love and give him and he give her his 100% of him, the wish he wanted from book 1, now he is written as accepting 1/3 of his dream woman who spent 3/4 giving him then big freeze out her mind/body/ heart. Reallyy...........
Ted's big reveal was boring, lack of mayhem, murder, revenge just boring talking WTFfffff all this build up and NOTHING exciting.
Irrelevant characters and dialogue and all this book is about how many time Story can be filled up by gizz.😴😴😴😴
I had hope for killer to get his wish for love and to embrace his true nature and his name "killer" instead we get a lovesick teenage/man who needs another man to teach him how to sex and love his woman WTFffff because he is a fumbling Neanderthal.
Seems like the writers struggled to include killer in the triad romance, Story's love and acceptance of Tristan and Rath is and was easier and made more sense for the novel.
The end was boring as hell the old "OUR" spawn was predictable and stupid. There was so much room to create a better ending for Story/Killian "love story" which really never existed and feelings never developed outside of the occasion sexual hookups btwn the 2 and Rath/ Tristan involment, she has blamed and hated him throughout the series.
Book 2 was the best in the series, this book was a disappointment.
I absolutely loved how there was a good 100 pages to wrap up their lives and not just a single chapter. Often you never get enough of the HEA after books and books of twisted torture but this ending was on point....mainly because it featured so much of my one true love Dimitri 😅
Can't wait to see what Sam and Angel deliver us with the Dukes coming soon!

Oh Story, Killian, Tristian and Dimitri how you have left such an impact on me! This series absolutely pushed my boundaries with what I was comfortable with but I loved every single second of it. For characters to make me feel so many emotions and feelings was honestly not something I was expecting, I was fully engrossed in the Lords world.
This book especially brought something extra compared to the other two as Story and her guys finally got their connection growing stronger— it had the best sarcastic and dry humour, I found myself laughing a lot at the jabs thrown at one another! After so much darkness and fight (which don’t worry is definitely still present) this was so refreshing and made me smile.
I was not expecting Ted to be who it was, that blind sided me completely! I absolutely love how possessive Story is also of her guys as they are of her. The epilogues!? Ah they were everything, it was so lush to see their reactions real time and to go through that journey with them of taking this next step.
I’m so intrigued by all the other Royals and am so looking forward to the Dukes story next, I’m so happy the authors are writing these stories also as I’m definitely not read to leave this world!
5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.
4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.
3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.
1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .
This is a great RH book with a scared yet strong young girl eventually finding her own feet and becoming a force to be reckoned with, whilst tackling 3 sexy yet evil as hell young men along the way. Story's different relationships with each guy kept me hooked and her obsessed love / hate relationship with Killer was too much but also not enough! The last book had major twists and turns but the ending was for me perfect I'm truly gutted its come to an end for these 4.
I liked how early the story ended and we skipped a few years in front and this book had so much humour I actually laughed out loud at points.
My favourite thing about this book is the progression of the characters, especially Killian. It was well paced and took time for the characters to become likeable something that is often rushed in other books.
