Ok, so at first I was annoyed that we received the wrong item (we got the unicorn version of this, but ordered the mermaid one).

My 6 year old didn’t want to wait another week for the correct item to come in (she spent her own money on this), so she agreed to keep the unicorn makeup. After trying several of the items, which were extremely hard to apply (took 5-6 times more than normal to see anything), she became frustrated. We moved on to the nail polish. The pink one went on great, light but noticeable. The purple however, was a dried up glob. There was no point in even attempting to put it on her nails. We are disappointed in this for so many reasons and will be returning it. The only highlight of this was the unicorn brush to apply the makeup. Everything else was garbage.

Was very disappointed in this. The reviews were so good and several mentioned 8 yr old girls loving it. My 8 yr old didnt. The colors are so pretty, but do not show up on the skin. Couldn’t get any to transfer to the brushes. I had to scrape the blush and eyeshadow with my nail and apply with a sponge to get any color. This would be a great set for 3 yr olds. The best part of the whole thing is the makeup bag. It is very nice and sturdy.

Mermaid makeup not safe

Nowhere on this box did it say non toxic as shown on the item before I purchased it. I thought I was purchasing non toxic makeup per the description. On the back of the pkg lists all of the many ingredients and the first ingredient on a few items is talc. Read what google has to say about talc. In my opinion it is not safe. Huge disappointment and I would never give this gift to a child. Amazon should change the description and remove the non toxic reference. This was made in China.

After watching my granddaughter play with a "fake" make up kit and seeing the pointy solid "brush" they gave her for an eyeliner, I decided to look for some real make up that is appropriate for a very young lady. This kit fit the bill completely! The nail polishes are very thick and therefore do not spill at all. She loves the lip gloss and blush the best. The powdered make up is a bit firm and doesn't go on heavy. That could be a good or bad thing. I love the mermaid pattern on the case and everything fits into it perfectly with room for a packet of tissues if she wants.

Don’t waste your time

This took over an extra week to actually get to me after the original process date and all because the seller requested an approval (AFTER THE ORIGINAL DELIVERY DATE) for the delivery date to change by a day.

Finally got it, the images on the box are badly printed and looks like it came from some
Random dollar store. The brushes fell apart immediately.

All the items and the bag was cute, and the price is fine, but the makeup isnt great, you cant even tell you're wearing it. I get that it's makeup for kids so it's not supposed to be heavy or messy, but you would still want to see SOMETHING. I gave it to my little niece and she was so excited to use it only to get super disappointed when she tried to give me a makeover and couldn't see any of the makeup she was trying to put on. The only sign anything was happening was a sparkle here and there. I guess if your kid doesn't mind that the makeup does, like, nothing, then they'll love it.
