How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite a good film. Worth watching.

Quite a good film, and was well worth watching. I found it very reminiscent of the 60's when the series was first aired on tv, over here !
It kind of reminded me about the James Coburn Our man Flint series of films as well. These are both of the Spy movie type.
If you were around during the sixties as I was, then you can rack your brain to appreciate the beginning of a good start up to a series of films.
Although they both played their characters well. However, I still prefer the Robert Vaughn and David McCallum version's of The Man From U.N.C.L.E........

2.0 out of 5 stars Not A Bad Film...but Not A Good One

Passes the time without staying in the memory much at all. None of the lead actors have much charisma and the film is nowhere as funny as it thinks it is/would like to be. Not particularly clever, even, and Guy Richie has a hilarious habit of over-dramatising some of the most mundane scenes. So in that respect, maybe it is quite funny....only it isn't.

Not a bad film, by any means. Just not a particularly good one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Much action, nothing memorable

Not for die hard fans of the 1960's tv-serial. As usual they take character names from the original tv-serial and make them act different. The 1960's tv was funny and "hip", very sixties. The movie has a much more serious tone and even if there are funny scenes the overall feeling is much darker than the tv-series ever was. If the main characters names wasn't Napoleon Solo and Ilya Kuryakin, i would say it was an action filled, technically first rate but otherwise quite forgettable movie, but since i'm a fan of the entertaining tv show, i'm just disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very entertaining and light-hearted

I have watched this movie a couple of times. I have found it to be very entertaining and light-hearted with very likeable characters and a good story line. The action scenes are good fun and last just the right amount of time (I might be a bit odd as I find the action scenes in some block busters just seem to go on forever and I find them a bit tiresome!). The filming style is slightly different, but you do get used to it I found.

This film has lots of action and the main characters work well for this film re-make. Really enjoyed it!

Saw this at the pictures because I used to watch this programme as a teenager in the 70's - although the guys were totally different from the original TV stars it was still an enjoyable film still based in the 60's of spies etc but did not feel dated. It is the type of film you could watch time and time again even though you know the plot and what is going to happen.

Based on the 60s th hit man from uncle
Which means United Network for Law Enforcement not Combined united nations which I always thought
This film set during the cold war is set around Napoléon. Solo is recruited with his opposite. Number mr kuriakin

A drama comedy is sure. To appeal to man from uncle. Fans from the 1969s

Henry cavill also starred as Brandon from the tudors and man of steel

This is an amazingly entertaining film and the main characters play off one another perfectly. There are some films that are definitely family favourites that you simply don't tire of and this is certainly one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stylish but absentminded spy thriller

Well, the blu-ray release is nice and all, but the film itself is just weak.

There are few nice character scenes and the 1960s is recreated very nicely, but it cannot cover up for the deadened story.

Not worth to buy for over 3 pounds IMO.
