Would you want a big beautiful male slave?

The title of this book tells you of the plot, sort of. After being kidnapped and sold as a slave on a planet that treats all males as slaves, Solar escapes his mistress. Kaylee has inherited wealth from an aunt, and she is living in a new town in a new society. Her life is put at risk and she must fight to survive. This is the second of the series that I have read, and I am finding them quite enjoyable. They are quite explicit in describing sexual acts, but you can skim over those parts if you prefer. They are subsequential to the story, not the main part. I received this book as a gift, and recommend it to those wanting a relaxing time, maybe with a glass of wine and a box of chocolates.

This is a quickie read, 14.5 of the Brides of the Kindred series. The Brides series is detailed and adds one book to the details of the next. This one is a shadow of the Kindred series, though I did find it worth the brief time it took to read it. Barely.

Solar M'Tex, a Havoc and a race cousins to the Kindred, although they almost never mate and form bonds with females. They use artificial insemination and only select males.

After Solar's ship was damaged, he and the captain barely made it to a station for repairs. While waiting they went to the bar for a drink. They were drugged and woke up chained in the hold of a slave ship. Solar is stripped and offered for sale.

Meanwhile, Kaylee, who lived a quiet middle-class life, finds that her parents were killed in an accident, and a previously unknown aunt left her immense wealth and possessions to Kaylee. She attended one upper-class function, but was woefully unprepared, in soo many ways. An opportunist, Lyla attaches herself to Kaylee to teach her how to get along in the society to which she now is a member. On Yonnie Six, all upper class people own male slaves and flaunt them.

Lyla takes Kaylee to a slave market where, under protest, Kaylee is persuaded to purchase the biggest, most muscular slave. A taser is part of what is handed to Lyla before they leave for Kaylee's multi-storied penthouse. Lyla takes great pleasure in frequently tasering Solar, getting him more and more angry. She then excuses herself to make a call to a friend.

Solar easily and quickly gets out of his restraints and Kaylee finds herself in trouble. All Solar really wants to do is exact a bit of revenge and then find his captain and get off this horrible planet.
Obviously, there is a mystery and treachery to deal with while they find love.

It is a really quick read, not filled out as it could be, but enjoyable for a fast read. DOES NOT COMPARE TO THE KINDRED SERIES.

This is a short romance story written in a world where females rule and intercourse with a male is not allowed. The women are required to have body slaves and, since sweet and innocent Kaylee is new to this world, her new friend Lyra talks her into buying her first body slave, a Havoc male named Solar. But Lyra is evil and her intentions are also evil. After Solar escapes, he goes against everything he is taught to not bond with a female and comes back and saves Kaylee from the evil Lyra. Their bonding is sweet and they decide to leave her world together.

Master the Mistress was a great erotic read. This book was no different from the books in Brides of Kindred series, except that it was shorter. If you’ve read that series you know seduction, sexual encounters, betrayal and dominance will happen, it just becomes a matter of when and how. Kaylee inherited more property and money than she could have imagined. Leaving her home and traveling to Opulex she befriends Lyra. Lyra is the complete opposite of Kaylee and she sees Kaylee as a stepping stone to increasing her standing within the society. Solar has been captured and sold as a slave to Kaylee. Lyra sees her chance at getting everything she wants but what she doesn’t realize is that Solar has seen and heard her plans. Kaylee’s life is in Solar’s hands literally; Solar can either escape or get the revenge he’s seeking, but what he doesn’t expect is the way he feels and reacts to Kaylee. When Kaylee life is in danger will he care for her enough to save her? Can Kaylee bond the Havoc who doesn’t believe in bonding? This novella is a great addition to the BOK series and if you’ve ever wondered what happened to Solar here’s your chance.
Would I recommend it? Yes, if you’ve read the Brides of the Kindred series, you should know what’s in store. This series is very erotic but still packed with action and anyone looking for good paranormal books should definitely give this series a try. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
