Extremely poor storyline

The guy has written a lot of books, so there must be a market, but they are awful. It uses the old 'Ex-SAS soldier' routine which, although a path well trodden (eg Moriani) can be quite good. However, we have the ludicrous situation where the US government agrees to let the SAS guy and his sidekick help due to the ability of the sidekick to find stuff out on google. It is so ridiculous I had to stop reading.

Really this series could be treated as one book as it flows seamlessly from one book to the next. It would never earn a Pulitzer Prize, but it is a fast paced fun read if a little far fetched in terms of both physical deeds and ordinance expended. While each book is a stand alone, the same formula applies, only the tasks performed and names are changed. For me they were ideal Airport, aeroplane books but never rising to great literary heights.
