Can't rate warmth as I don't want it to get hot, just provide a consistent power supply to my dash cam. Useful that they are making these as the cables provided with my dashcam are still made to fit into a car lighter socket. My car doesn't have one as everything is USB now, this provided the perfect solution. Obviously this does not continue to provide a power supply to the dash cam when the engine is switched off.

Took it camping to use with electric cooler in our tent and although it got the fan running there was barley any power so the cooler didn't work effectively, when compared to plugging the cooler into the car cigarette lighter where it works perfectlyly. Can't return as we didn't go camping until over a month after purchase, but definitely defective don't buy

Very useful Converter (12v car to USB)

I have a NextBase in car camera but it was draining too much power when plugged into the 12v Car socket. NextBase provide a long reach cable which can be hidden in the car and plugs into the car socket. Using the converter (12v car socket to USB) I can now plug in a Belkin Powerbank instead. A converter was necessary as USB cables are too short and I wanted the cable to the camera to be hidden in the car.

An excellent way to connect your dashcam in cars that only have USB-C

Our new car only has USB-C connectors in the front of the car. There is one cigaretter lighter style connection in the boot but much too far to trail the dashcam cable.

This female lighter socket to USB-C did the job perfectly and was small as well with just enough cable to be perfect. I did look at others with much longer cables but you dont need them

I have used it for my satnav with antenna cable that require cigarette lighter socket. For some reason, only during charging via this adaptor, satnav will close itself and require restarting. Satnav is okay and runs fine on internally battery and when using via inbuilt 12v socket. It does work but this issue is really annoying, hence rating 3.
