I like listening to Ant's English accent, of course why wouldn't I ! I'm also English living in Australia, therefore it was instantly friendly and familiar. Thank you for narrating it yourself Ant. I thought the book content delivered more than I was expecting and I loved it. I would feel confident recommending this book to anybody as well as my closest friends and I wouldn't hesitate to buy as a gift for anybody.

The only motivational book you need
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 December 2021Verified Purchase
There are so many motivational and self help books out there but very few are written from real life experiences. Most are just fluff with very little grit. I have been a follower of Ant ever since the first series of SAS and have been to his live shows. He is authentic in his delivery and writing because he really has been there and done it. Personally I would rather follow the advice of someone who can evidence his own life experiences than someone who studied Psychology 101 and thinks they know the human psyche and limits.

Uninspiring
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 May 2022Verified Purchase
Nothing new here, he is just coming from a military angle, mostly self-congratulatory talk and his usual foul mouthed language. Do these guys really speak and even write like that in their private life too? Not cool! I thought it's just to show off on tv. Ah well. On the plus side he is honest and not afraid to point out his own shortcomings which makes him appear more human despite his huge ego and alpha male affectation. I'm sure he is a nice guy but, from what I have read, his wife deserves a medal. Anyway, all in all a disappointing read. Sadly I didn't find this book inspiring.

I must be missing something
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 March 2022Verified Purchase
I had great hopes for this book and from the reviews most people seem to think it is amazing. I started off in the same way finding it quite inspiring until I didn't. I think for me it started to turn sour around the chapter on how to parent and went down hill from there. I gave up about 3/4 through as the self sanctimonious and pretty bitter tone was making me cross.
