Absolutely brilliant...You'll have to be a bit dedicated to get through 7 seasons/47 discs... Each season comes with a little pamphlet detailing the episodes and a few pictures. Have just reached end of season 1 with Steven Hill as Dan Briggs before being replaced by Peter Graves as Mr Phelps. All episodes are very imaginative and great stories. Just hope when I reach the last episode I'm not instructed to destroy them all "in the usual manner!"

From the opening bars of that great score you know you're in for a treat. But this masterpiece didn't fall from heaven. Fascinating to see it evolve during the first series, see how the characters develop, how the mix is adjusted until the cake is delicious every time. TV craft raised to the power of art. And the technical perfection extends to the transfers to DVD; we certainly see the programmes more clearly than we did when they first came out (viewers of a certain age will agree), and it is hard to imagine them better that this.
