I bought two of these, due to driving cross country, (from Dallas to Paradise, PA) to pick up TWO new Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pups (brother & sister.. I got the brother for my dad who lives alone & needed a companion, and we have the sister). The drive was 30 hours each way, which took us longer to get home with 2 baby pups + our 7 yr old Cavalier who wanted NOTHING to do with these babies!
I kept the brother for the first week we were back in TX, til my dad could come get him. We were so worried about the separation, I thought getting them each their own heart-beating dog would be great!
I am soooo glad I did, because it’s been a lifesaver!!
Not only do our dogs love their “security dog”, but I am thrilled to see such amazing quality & durability!! I am being honest when I say that the batteries are STILL going strong- which I forget to turn it off when she wakes from naps.
It’s been 3 weeks since we brought them home, mind you! The tickers are still a tickin’! Our girl now whines if she’s in her pen and doesn’t have her “security pooch”!! Immediately when I put it in there with her, she nudges it with her nose, does a little “fluff” to it, then lays on top of it, snuggled up to the “bo-boom-ba-boom”.
*TIP:: if you happen to have any of those baby warm/cold packs that have the little gel beads inside, you can pop in micro for 15 seconds, then insert on top of the beating heart (closest to zipper so they can feel the warmth). Perfect for icy cold nights!
I am so so happy I found this while browsing puppy stuff! It’s been THE BEST item we’ve bought so far!!
There’s another brand on Amazon selling these too, but they’re more expensive. Go with this one- you won’t regret it!!!
FYI- it takes 3- AAA batteries, which I used Everready brand.
This is THE PERFECT new puppy gift you could get your loved ones, for their welcome home, puppy gift!!!

My son had a snuggle puppy for his puppy. It came with a heat pack and heart beat insert. I didn't need the heat pack but I wanted the heart beat so my older dog wouldn't feel so alone now that his companion has passed away. This toy was only $10.00 less than the Snuggle Puppy but I figured it was because it lacked the heat source. It arrived very quickly. I inserted batteries into the "heart beat" case which was quite flimsy and had parts of the plastic broken off straight out of the wrapper. Instead of a heart beat, there was a loud buzzing vibration. Not soothing. Not human like. Not as described. Fortunately the company did accept my immediate return for a full refund.

I very very rarely take the time to write a review. I cannot help but comment how wonderful this device' is!! So many years ago when I grew up with puppies we used the sound of a clock that would tick tock. This is an amazing device lol. It is my puppies 3rd night in the crate, and as you can see he loves the animal... he will not try to tear it up, he hasn't tried to throw it around like he has his other toys this is perfect thank you!!

My Havanese is 6 years old. He chews most stuffed toys. He sleeps with this toy during the day and night. It batteries last a very long time. I love the opening on the stomach where you put the heart, so much better then a zipper. I purchased this since he is a service dog and sometimes must be left alone when I go to certain apointments. This is his friend that comforts him. Great item. Thank you and it is worth every thing I paid for it plus it is adorable

I can not stress enough how glad I am that I went ahead and bought this before my puppy came home.
Some of the lower star reviews had me nervous but not only is this stuffed animal adorable but it comforted my deaf puppy all through his first night (that he slept all the way through) and puts him right to sleep whenever he bundles up next to it.

The heartbeat sounds more like a clock than a heart, at least to me, but the vibration worked absolute wonders for him.

It wouldn't work after putting batteries in There were no directions or any website or phone number for us to get information. The only disappointing purchase we have made in 9 years of purchases through Amazon. Would like someone to send me a way to contact.them in case there is a "simple" fix.

Smaller each time. Much cheaper than the original version

Five stars for the original version! We bought this product for our new puppy in July and it has been his favorite ever since... unfortunately the wear and tear took a toll and we decided to get a new one to replace it. When it arrived in the mail and we were surprised at how much smaller and cheap it felt - way thinner material and significantly smaller than the original. I’m guessing their company started to downsize the product or revamp production... definitely a downgrade from the original.

EDIT: Third purchase since our puppy is obsessed with it, but it loses yet another star as the size as decreased AGAIN!
