Great kit

My son (11) had a great time smashing these geodes. We had to smash the heck out of them. We got several beautiful sparkly hollow ones and a few just pretty rocks. In terms of colour yes it would have been nice to get something other than white but you can’t see inside a rock so … 🤷‍♀️
My son loves them.

Does not look anything like packaging! Extremely difficult to open, both adults tried and it took so many blows, sometimes they never opened because there was no opening on the inside just a ball of concrete and there is no way a kid could do it. Colours are crap, one purple one in the whole batch, the rest are white.

This set had 10 geodes. There was 7 medium and 3 tiny ones. All the geodes were exactly the same once opened. The smaller ones obviously just crushed because of how small they were. They were all a really light colour with not much hue to them at all. All exactly the same. My children collect crystals and I thought this would be a great activity but they were extremely dissatisfied. I think for the price a mixture of geodes would be a lot more reasonable.
There is a far better geode set on amazon for just £7.95.

Too hard to break open

Great idea for a product but far too difficult to break open which ended in them all getting smashed to pieces. After an hour of trying to break them open and a dinted wooden table my husband finally had to take them outside and smash them on the floor. Some didn’t even have geodes inside them. Disappointingly, on the box it shows all different colours but they were all white.

Very, very disappointed with the item. All the same colour, a lot completely fused together and 2 pieces of concrete that had no geode centre whatsoever. Very disappointing for the price and no way to resolve it via customer service either without returning a pile of, quite literally, rubble.

My 6yr old daughter was so excited to add to her collection of geodes, she restrained herself to open just one a week. At the end of 2 months she was extremely disappointed to find that every last geode was practically the same (apart from the solid rock containing nothing at all) - all white, all rather boring and nothing like the colourful crystals advertised on the box. I appreciate that the geodes are picked randomly, but at least one carefully chosen one would go a long way to alleviate the disappointment. There is also no where to complain on the NG website.

There are like MacDonald's burgers: the crystals that you get are smaller, less colourful and harder than it looks on the Amazon and box pictures!

You do get geodes, but maybe only one is worth the name. The others barely have any crystals or are too small. Not worth the money they cost.

I bought this for my little sister who is obsessed with Geodes at the moment. Maybe it's just me not knowing that much about them but given the pictures on the box, I expected them to all be different colours which they are not. I guess you could say that the packaging is very misleading. Also the product is quite expensive so when it said it came with a display stand, I expected something more than the two little plastic triangles that it came with.

They’re all the same colour

My son loved these but the box is misleading. It shows geodes with different colours but they’re all plain white quartz. I’ve since learnt that it’s normal they are all white, as the colours are dyes. Bit of a shame as there are much cheaper alternatives (over 50%) that I could have purchased that are clear and upfront about all the geodes being the same colour.
