Excellent well worth it!

Great fun! We got some really nice ones and a couple of rocks with only a small amount of crystal or non at all (not pictured). We got a giant one which I though would be a dud but it's one of the best! All only white crystals but when you read the info book that comes with it that is to be expected.I bought this as a school holiday activity as we had been looking at geodes and made some at home using egg shells Alum and laster and wanted to show what the real thing was like. Follow the instructions to make sure you get a nice cross section and not a just a bunch of pieces. Happy with my purchase and with how quickly it arrived.
Note the cardboard box is not the actual product , I've seen reviews which complained about the plain cardboard packaging, open the plain cardboard and the product is in a box as displayed.

Does not look anything like packaging! Extremely difficult to open, both adults tried and it took so many blows, sometimes they never opened because there was no opening on the inside just a ball of concrete and there is no way a kid could do it. Colours are crap, one purple one in the whole batch, the rest are white.

My son (11) had a great time smashing these geodes. We had to smash the heck out of them. We got several beautiful sparkly hollow ones and a few just pretty rocks. In terms of colour yes it would have been nice to get something other than white but you can’t see inside a rock so … 🤷‍♀️

Great activity! I bought this for my nephew’s 7th birthday. He loves crystals and I liked that this included an activity as well as the crystals themselves. Grandpa set up the kids (7 & 8) each with Their own hammer and goggles and they had such fun smashing them open! As an activity this gets 10/10. Glad I went for the 10 geodes, that gave them a good chance to keep busy for a while.
I’d say the only downside was that all the crystals were the same colour - white - not like on the box where all the beautiful colours were shown. So that was a bit disappointing but I guess you can’t tell what’s inside by looking at the rock. All the same, a fun activity for the kids and I’d recommend this.

Wow just Wow! My 8 year old girl loved loved these.
However there where some exceptionally hard to break open which took me to hammer for quite a while, which was a shame as you can't tell when they are about to crack open so unfortunately I eneded up opening most of them. They are all the same colour (white) which is very very disappointing as the box is covered in lots of lovely coloured ones and would have expected to get at least one different colour in amongst then.

I got these for my geod crazy daughters birthday and she absolutely loves them.
It would have been nice for some variety of colour in there somehow as they were all identical and clear but she still loved them.
Great value though and very pretty.

This is great kit for kids. Please note, that adults need to break open the geodes or accidents might happen. The only little minus was the variaty of the geodes. We did not get any coloured inside. All were clear

So much fun opening the geodes in christmas day, crystals inside are the same colour, and still 3 left, that are harder than the other ones, like granite stone, we will take our time to do it.
