Great fun! We got some really nice ones and a couple of rocks with only a small amount of crystal or non at all (not pictured). We got a giant one which I though would be a dud but it's one of the best! All only white crystals but when you read the info book that comes with it that is to be expected.I bought this as a school holiday activity as we had been looking at geodes and made some at home using egg shells Alum and laster and wanted to show what the real thing was like. Follow the instructions to make sure you get a nice cross section and not a just a bunch of pieces. Happy with my purchase and with how quickly it arrived.
Note the cardboard box is not the actual product , I've seen reviews which complained about the plain cardboard packaging, open the plain cardboard and the product is in a box as displayed.

Does not look anything like packaging! Extremely difficult to open, both adults tried and it took so many blows, sometimes they never opened because there was no opening on the inside just a ball of concrete and there is no way a kid could do it. Colours are crap, one purple one in the whole batch, the rest are white.

My son (11) had a great time smashing these geodes. We had to smash the heck out of them. We got several beautiful sparkly hollow ones and a few just pretty rocks. In terms of colour yes it would have been nice to get something other than white but you can’t see inside a rock so … 🤷‍♀️

Great activity! I bought this for my nephew’s 7th birthday. He loves crystals and I liked that this included an activity as well as the crystals themselves. Grandpa set up the kids (7 & 8) each with Their own hammer and goggles and they had such fun smashing them open! As an activity this gets 10/10. Glad I went for the 10 geodes, that gave them a good chance to keep busy for a while.
I’d say the only downside was that all the crystals were the same colour - white - not like on the box where all the beautiful colours were shown. So that was a bit disappointing but I guess you can’t tell what’s inside by looking at the rock. All the same, a fun activity for the kids and I’d recommend this.
