I like the format of a month by month guide to what to look out for in the night sky with eclipses and meteor showers listed so they shouldn’t come as a surprise in the news the day after the event, which means you missed it. Sunrise, sunsets, phases of the moon and general information about the moon are laid out in reasonable fashion and it is an instantly interesting book to flick through. Not taxing if you take it a month at a time and it will aid your view of the night sky no end.
