It does the job with adding extra USB ports for my ultrabook. Work well, even HDMI port is working well, however when tried to pass dolby atmos with dolby access app from my laptop to my AVR it does not stay connected and hard to established a connection to AVR, could be a problem with the laptop or could be a problem with USB hub's HDMI output can not handle bandwidth. However to connect extra USB 3.0 sticks to the laptop that's this hub do the job as described.
Item posted as quick as usual amazon, as described in the add, overreroll I am happy with the product.

Poor Build Quality: Broken USB Port

One of the USB ports isn't working ... I was trying to transfer a 10GB folder, and since the signal kept dropping in and out the transfer would stop completely. Really poor build quality would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Furthermore, the return process is a nightmare since this was for my parents, and I'm not around to help them return it back to Amazon to get a replacement.

Great for Zooming

I bought this for my 2019 MacBook Pro that only has two USB-C ports. As a photographer, I need an SD card slot and ports for USB-A drives. These days, we're all video chatting so the 4K HDMI port was great too. In fact, I'm using the HDMI port for Zoom for my daughter's dance classes, instrumental lessons, etc and it works flawlessly.

I've read about the unit heating up and although it gets a little warm after half an hour of HDMI screen sharing, it's definitely not hot, or at any level that would raise concern. It's light yet sturdy and doesn't have that cheap plastic feel so many other hubs have. I've used all the ports and they have a firm fit, and it works well with multiple devices connected to it simultaneously too. I'd highly recommend this as I can't imagine how paying an extra $20-$50 for more expensive hubs would result in anything much better.

I had originally bought a much more expensive and more functional USB-C Hub. It had many issues so I returned it. This works perfectly. I use it daily on my Macbook Pro 2019, the USB 3.0 and HDMI ports work as you would expect, I haven't tested the SD slots yet but I'm sure they're great. There is absolutely no connectivity issues, as soon as I plug it in my keyboard lights up and monitor turns on. I thought my previous more expensive hub was small, this thing is tiny! But it feels very premium and I love the colour finish. Overall this is a great product and I would highly recommend if you need those USB and HDMI ports. You could probably find a cheaper one if you just want the USB ports so keep that in mind. :))

This is a really good bang-for-your-buck product. It is heaps cheaper than other comparable dongles. It does full USB 3.1 speeds and HDMI output is clear. It does get warm but it is not unbearable and only occurs when transferring large files. Would highly recommend.
