Love having the extra battery not only for more power but helps to balance the headset on your head. Love the hard case but the zipper is a bit finicky.

It appears that this product is known to break during use. The arms of the head strap appears to crack and break. I contacted Oculus support and they told me they couldn't replace it because it is not available in my region. So I am sending it back to Amazon Australia for a full refund. Do not buy first party oculus accessories through amazon.

Improves the comfort of the Quest 2 by balancing it out. Sits much better on your noggin and is far easier to adjust and get on and off. The added battery life is great and also helps this balancing act.
This is the fit that you should ideally get out of the box with the Quest 2. It is an expensive addition but unfortunately I find it necessary. It just shouldn't cost this much.
The case is ok. The zipper tie is a joke and I can see it breaking off, making it extremely difficult to open/close the recessed zip. Case is nice and sturdy and the controllers fit in well too.
I also feel that fitting the Quest 2 in the case with the glasses spacer attached makes it too tight on the facial interface material where it rubs up against the plastic partition for the controllers. This means I don't use the case for day to day storage but would use it for travel.
Shipping time on this was abysmal.

Compared to the elastic strap this is an absolute dream and I would say is essential is you find the stock headset heavy. The battery gives a couple of extra hours play time and really balances out the headset. I would say it probably doubles the weight but as it is balanced you will not notice any difference. I hope in Quest 3 they take the battery out of the front completely as it makes no logical sense but that's another story. I really want to give this 4 stars as the price is just a little too high but I guess we are still the early adopters of this tech so cant really complain. If you have a Quest 2 I would say this is essential for sessions of longer than 30mins. The price sucks but bite the bullet and you wont regret it I don't think. There were also rumours of these breaking but in my experience I cant see this happening unless you were to stand on the arm(s) with some force. Build quality is really nice.

Well first of all it is a little more comfortable then the base strap but not much but it's worlds easier to use but it broke in less than a month it is currently is transit back to Amazon for a refund I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to buy it again but I might it's still a good buy I think as long as they fix the issue truly but I'm not sure it will ever be perfect but it is still good! Enjoy!

The Elite Strap With Battery should be standard for any Oculus Quest 2 owner, it's better than the head straps the quest came with and extends gameplay, especially beneficial when you're passing the headset around with a group of friends. I know some people had the strap break on them, I haven't had that issue, it's been solid for me since I bought it 6 months ago.

The elite headstrap adds so much more comfort for longer play sessions, and battery makes it so much easier to not always be worrying about the amount of battery left, or if I forget to charge it, chances are it still has a bit of life left. The case is perfect, just remember to use the adjustment wheel at the back of the headstrap to make it short enough to fit in the case before zipping it up. Hoping it lasts, as the zip feels like it may eventually get jammed, and since it is hidden in the case, if it got stuck, it would be very hard to fix. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the price. Crazy that each of these things individually are $79 each. The case, while very nicely designed, should not have such a high price tag. It's just plastic coated with some wool fibers.

The Elite Strap with battery is amazing for the Quest 2, fits perfect and as it has a battery in the back of the strap the weight balance on your head is perfect. the Quest 2 is not heavy but with the battery in the back its the perfect counter weight, and a bonus you get an amazing carry case.

Coming off of an original Rift CV1 and a Rift S I knew I'd need to get the Elite Strap due to the somewhat flimsy strap included with the Quest 2... I'm used to more support vs less support. When I saw that they were including a version of the Elite Strap with an added battery and a pretty nice looking case, the choice was made for me!
Straight up this battery strap is a very good thing, it extends the internal battery life of your Quest 2 by about 2-3 hours depending on what you're doing (obviously games eat up more power than watching a movie)... at the end of the day you get on average about 4-6 hours of total battery life, which is very useful. Compared to the included Quest 2 material strap, the battery on the back and the extra weight of the plastic helps balance out the weight of the Quest 2 itself making things feel more stable and generally more comfy. Also the adjustment knob at the back of the Elite Strap lets you get a good seal on your face. There is a USB C cable which travels from the battery pack and connects to the USB C port on the Quest 2... for charging both batteries there is a USB C port on the bottom of the battery pack (below the adjustment knob thing). Unfortunately this second USB C port does not allow for pass-through for Link (connecting the Quest 2 to a gaming PC)... you need to unplug the battery cable and let it hang to the side to use link with the main USB C port. This isn't really an issue as the Link hookup itself should keep you charged (if you have a quality cable, like the official Oculus Link cable), but the positioning of the back downward facing USB C port would make for a more logical spot for tethering (vs the front right hand side). Either way it's fine, just a bit of a missed opportunity imho.
The case itself is also quite nice, it's a dense zip up clam shell/pod type thing and is covered by a very wooly feeling felt type material... there is also a faux soft leathery strap to carry it with. It's quite nice and does exactly what it's supposed to. Only downside is the lack of (re-pluggable) holes for charging the Quest 2 in the case itself, it needs to be resting halfway out of the case, and even upside down if you have the Elite Battery Strap attached. Also the hidden zipper has stuck a few times when trying to open it for me, but I have managed to work that out. It can get stuck on the USB C cable which connects the battery pack to the headset, you can avoid this by making sure you push it down in the case before zipping it up. Overall a nice hard shell case, especially if you plan on taking it places!
At the end of the day, I do think the comfort and extra battery life is worth it and the case is well made, and very cool looking... I'm only removing a star for the minor issues listed above... ie: The lack of a convenient USB C pass-through in the battery pack for Oculus Link and the lack of a charge port, or ports really, along with a possible fussy zipper in the carrying case. Buy it for the comfort factor, the double the battery life factor and the cool case to store it in factor and you're golden! :)
Update 1 Oct 22 2020: having used this for a good solid week now I wanted to mention that I have noticed a bit of stress on the back of my head after long sessions if I've tightened the Elite Strap too much. I'm used to clamping down the halo strap on the Rift S, which maybe is not the best path to take with this Elite Strap (functionally similar but different, the Rift S halo tightens around your entire head, while this elite strap simply pulls and holds the visor tighter to your face), I've found that keeping it a little looser has been better... otherwise I still think this is the way to go!
Update 2 Nov 19 2020: Wanted to point out one annoyance which has come up, if you leave the fully charged battery pack plugged into the headset and turn the headset off for a couple days (not on standby, actually turn it off), when you come back the battery pack will have zero charge. Why? Who knows, but it kind of sucks. The only solution I've found is to disconnect the USB C cable from the Quest 2 when you turn it off... the battery pack will still have a full charge the next time you plug it in.
Update 3 Oct 2021 - One year later and this battery strap is still going strong, no breaks in the plastic, and no issues beyond what was mentioned above!

Poor quality materials resulting in broken strap.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 April 2021Verified Purchase
Very comfortable compared to the stock strap, and the weight of the battery is a good counter-balance to the headset.
However, as so many other people have also pointed out, the side straps are extremely fragile and within a month of light and very careful use, the strap on mine cracked inexplicably. A great product let down by poor materials.
I have opened a support ticket with Oculus and will update once they respond.
Update: very good after sales service from Ocukus. They have agreed to replace the strap and are sending one out without me having to send the broken one to be assessed. Excellent speed of resolution without argument or fuss. I can't improve the trading of the product, but I five stars to Oculus for customer support.

Excellent improvement on the ‘basic’ strap included with the Quest 2
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 November 2020Verified Purchase
I ordered this at the same time I ordered my 256Gb Quest 2 back in early October. The Quest 2 arrived on the 13th (release day) and the Elite Strap with battery pack arrived on 30th October. I don’t understand why people have reviewed it badly because of ‘delayed delivery date’. The order is fulfilled by Oculus and on the Oculus website they have been very clear that the strap would be released at a later date!
The cheap (cost-saving) strap that comes with the Quest really isn’t very good. It does the job but it’s a pain to fit (especially if you’re swapping the headset between people) and not very comfortable. This Elite strap is much, much better. It is easier to fit and provides much better support around the occiput. It is expensive (£120 for the strap with battery and carrying case, but, in my opinion, the strap is an essential extra. I found the battery life for the Quest 2 on it’s own was just over 2 hours with gameplay and casting, and with the battery strap I am getting around 4.5-5 hours without needing a charge. I do not have any other headsets to compare with but the weight of the battery around the back of the head definitely improves the balance.
Overall, the strap is an essential extra. The option of the battery strap will depend on personal preference and how long you intend to use the headset in one sitting.

I must say I am not really sure what to think about this thing.
Let start with the carrying case:
I was expecting something more soft. The case is hard and the touch doesn't feel great... Or at least not as great as a 50€ case should.
Fitting the controllers is uneasy, and let you with more doubt than satisfaction, you never know if you put them well.
About the strap, I must say I geel a bit scammed by all the influencers around saying it's a must have.
Maybe it's my head shape, but this is painful to wear. The dark plastic at the back is painful on the lower part while the upper part doesn't even touch my head, in fact i can pass my finger in between.
Results is that points of pressures are increased in some places, I even have more marks on my face after a session, making it worse than basic strap, opposite of the expected results indeed.
To finish on the las part, the battery is a good thing, the quest doesn't last long enough and a battery helps. Although it is a bit weird the way battery is used.
When I ordered it I was so looking forward to it and now i am rather disappointed.
It looks great but doesn't really make it comfortable.
I will see in some time how I feel about it and update that review if I change my mind.
