After a disaster of a first heat, I’m ready to swear off alphas and escape to a cabin in the woods.
My body has other plans.
Now that I’m awakened, I can’t survive another heat alone.
Problem is, I hate alphas, hate packs, and really super hate the so-called mates I can’t forgive and can’t forget.
Now my biological clock’s ticking too fast to handle, and I can’t wait on Wyvern Pack to figure out their damage.
I’ll take care of my own needs.
And if you can’t give me what I want, then get out of my way.
Because this omega bites back.

Reasons I loved it:
- complex, fantastically developed male leads (often a challenge for RH writers with a handful of em)
- a FMC that actually calls them on their bull and makes them prove themselves when they screw up.
- super cute omega-omega vibes to balance out the Alpha-ness
- two very different flavours of damaged psycho hotties (hello Jett and Finn)
- Point of view changes that actually feel like jumping into the minds of very different and distinct characters (the writing for Finn especially is next level good)
- very funny and clever overall style in every PoV
- turns of phrase that made this utterly original and unique.
I will likely buy literally any series this author writes next off the back of the quality of this duo. Gifted and slaying it.
A small critique is that the author several times forgot the old adage of ‘show, don’t tell’, so certain parts of the story felt a bit rushed. But that’s a minor critique for an otherwise wonderful book.
There is room left for a new book in the same universe - with a different FMC, so it will be exciting to keep track if the story unfolds
I’ve just finished and still feel ALL the warm fuzzies! Love love love all the funny lines, they really cracked me up 😂
Thank you Lola for writing Lilah’s story - you rock!!

This is the second and final book in the Pack Darling duet and it once again blew me away and gave me characters to forever love and adore.
I had never even heard of omegaverse until I read this series and since the first book I have read quite a few in the genre - Lola still remains an absolute standout and shinning star of this genre for me.
As this is a second book I won’t give spoilers away but I adored the development of all the characters in this one. Seeing redemption and development not only as individuals but as a group was amazing and handled incredibly well (I hated most of the men in this by the end of book 1, this book? They can all stay)
Lilah is one of my all time favourite heroines. I cannot begin to express her strength, courage and brilliant sassy internal dialogue that really had me wanting us to be pals.
The development, pacing and subplots of the story were crafted well and I was entertained throughout, especially with the sprinkling of steamy steam throughout (sauna anyone?)
I can’t wait to see what Lola comes up with next, it’s a guarantee read for me and ofc I’ll gladly accept any bonus content of these characters 😉

Lilah and her Alpha's and Omega have literally consumed my entire life, my thoughts, work become impossible, household chores were pushed aside and neglected, sleep became impossible. Even when I managed some sleep my first thoughts were of Lilah when I woke up once more. It was all down to the incredible writing skills of this amazing author, using her characters to captivate you and hold your attention like an alpha knot that will never ever deflate.
Lilah Darling has once again been shown that the only thing she can count on is herself, that no one will help her, or ever put her needs about their's. Until Wyvern Pack. Realising the drastic mistakes they made in Book one the boys begin to use that single minded focus and determination they had to keep Lilah out before to try and do the opposite. However, it's clear that the Wyvern's are damaged, broken boys stumbling through life, ignoring their issues and hurting everyone in their life. But when the Wyvern's decide on something nothing stops them from getting what they want. It is this single-minded focus that Lilah finds herself under as they cast aside all ties, responsibilities and obligations to everything.
Having the sole attention of the Wyvern's is enough to make any Omega weak at the needs and begging for them, but not their mate. After the most brutal reality check the males have ever had Their mate becomes the centre of their world, her needs become their sole focus and it just makes me melt. Book one showed how entitled the boys were but Book 2 shows their true selves hidden deep within, like a flower finally blooming to life. The character development for the boys was amazing and helped me connect with them, deeper than any story has in a long time. The steam level hikes up to full and these scenes are just everything I never knew I needed.
I hope this isn't the end of Lilah's story because I'm not ready to let them go, I need more, always more!

Part two picks up straight away following the events from the end of book one and I was anxiously on the edge wondering how Lola was going to bring it all back to their happily ever after, I shouldn’t have been worried though at all!
Lilah does not give in easily to these Alpha’s, I absolutely adored her relationship with Orion and they are just perfect for each other, actual soul mates, his choices and actions of choosing Lilah made me sigh in happiness.
I found myself when I was reading looking at the percentage I was at and getting so excited that they were still grovelling and Lilah was just focusing on herself and getting through her next heat. Talking of, she’s stronger than me because I totally would’ve chosen the other pack for their cheesecakes.. and unicorn fudge!? Yes please girl.
I loved the symbolism of the Wyvern pack literally breaking before it could be put back together stronger. I was super happy with the time it took for that to happen, it felt so natural to what Lilah had been through.
As a result we didn’t get as much close time of them being together as a pack so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a bonus epilogue or novella one day! I’m also super intrigued my Marisol and hoping after that ending she’s getting her books, also don’t come for me but the Daddy Wyvern’s… I’d totally one click their book. Loved them!

We get more of an insight into all of the guys, why they are the way they are. My heart for Jett 😩 Also more about what happened to Lilah. It helps with understanding everyone more, that’s for sure.
“Who needs flowers and chocolates? I like revenge. Okay. Also chocolates. But still. Best. Gift. Ever.”
I think the character growth in this book is immense, maybe even a bit too immense with some of them (complete 180’s on their original characters). Lilah doesn’t just lie down and accept any fate, she fights for what she deserves. The guys. That’s what she deserves. But not the guys from Part One, she deserves the guys who are willing to prove themselves and make the necessary changes. Slightly unhinged, but working as a unit to prove to their Omega’s that they are deserving of them.
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I did feel like the writing style changed in this book slightly? I almost felt like there were words missing out of sentences. Kinda caveman style sometimes, but not just the men.
Overall I enjoyed it though and will still recommend the duet!

This took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I loved very single twist and turn it took. Lola - congratulations on this absolute masterpiece.
I felt the emotions of Lilah so hard and she really resonated with me. She's a wonderfully complex and and all I can say is, read it. You won't be disappointed.
