This is one of my favourite disney films and it was by chance and good fortune and I had got this particular DVD from the Amazon website at a very good price. This version unlike the latest one has many extra features, such as behind the scenes, music and games. If you are only interested in the film itself and don't bothered about getting the extra features, then just buy the latest that hardly has any special features otherwise for something that is more then the film itself, this DVD type is well worth getting. This one contains some great catchy music, a great storyline and very funny scenes that are always my favourite when watching Disney animated movies. I could never stop laughing and admiring all the wonderful work that disney put in all of it's classical films and for all who are super fond of disney animation, be sure to add this to your DVD collection.

How great to be able to get a 1953 Disney classic updated on DVD! It seems as fresh and bright as it did when I saw the original film as a small boy (yes, I'm that old). A splendid purchase at a very reasonable price, this film is now preferred viewing for my grandchildren - well, second only to Wallace and Gromit!

The portrayal of the Red Indians seems very non-PC now, I must admit. Also, I seemed to detect a bit of editing-out when Peter finds Tinker Belle fading away in a cave. It's the bit of the original stage presentation when the audience have to clap to signify their belief in fairies.

It's over 100 years since the original story was written, so some of the ideas need explaining to youngsters: Nanas and nurseries, for example, are unfamiliar to 21st Century children. Even a ticking crocodile is so out of date now!

I'm still very pleased I found it: Recommended!

Love this. Its older than I am but it stands the test of time. Peter Pan is a great story anyway and with the Disney touch becomes great entertainment. It's the story of the boy who never grew up and the Darling children and Tinkerbell the fairy companion of Peter and all the characters of Neverland. The songs are catchy and fun and it's just lovely entertainment. Highly recommended.

This old classic is an absolute favourite of both my 5 year old daughter and myself. She watches it a few times a week and still loves it everytime. The scary bits, if you can call them that, are so tongue in cheek and done with such humour that they're not scary at all. My daughter laughs out loud on many occassions. Even the jealousy shown by Tinkerbell and the Mermaids is done in a way that can be found amusing. It's an English story and the film is the original, no Americanisms to spoil it and make it overly dramatic which they have done to the sequel - an appalling film. But that's another review. This original Peter Pan is priceless. We love it!
