5.0 out of 5 starsWow.. Was surprised at this bad boy

Got it on sale and was not 100% if this was a "good" buy. You read multiple negative reviews that constantly sway your purchase!. The main one that kept putting me off is the quality of the blade and them falling apart. Well, i have used my one for some time now and can say the following:
1- The shave is good and it does the job. The first time i used it a hacked through a 4 week growth with ease.
2- You will still miss sections if you rush
3- The blade seems to be perfectly fine (still on the first blade) and have taken care to use with caution (due to the reviews)
4- I put mine in a case after use
5- It isn't going to be a blade cut shave (unless you put some time in)
6- I shave with it in about 5-6 mins tops (from a 1 weekish growth).

Yep would recommend 100%

2.0 out of 5 starsNot good if you actually want a clean shave.
Reviewed in Australia on 22 November 2021
Great for shaping.. you could write your name in your beard if you want.. but if you actually need to shave, and have your face be smooth (or whatever you’re shaving lol) this thing is totally useless.. 30 minutes shaving with it and my face we still rough and prickly. I ended up buying a better shaver for twice as much by a better brand a week later. The worst part about it was it was legitimately 30 minutes before I gave up.. this thing is sloooooow. And if you want it to do more than trim a dolls wig, it’s gonna wear out and break soon. So instead of buying this with extra heads, accessories, case, and then buying all Jew heads in a couple months again because they’ve all broken, just get a real shaver instead of this thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never going back to traditional razers or shavers
Reviewed in Australia on 18 October 2020

OneBlade is not a gimmick like all that rubbish advertised on TV and Facebook. This has seriously changed the way I shave. I have sensitive skin so I am never able to use a razer without a lot of discomfort and the occasional ingrown hair (ouch!). Constantly paranoid about cutting myself with "safe face shavers" (yes it has happened to me multiple times). For years I was stuck using inefficient foil shavers as they were the only thing that caused minimal irritation while getting a close shave, took ages to shave my face using these. OneBlade is savior for everyone! Have been using for nearly a year, no cuts, no irritation and no ingrown hairs. If you don't own one yet, get it!

Keep in mind:
-Better to use on dry hair/skin - wet does not work as well
-Like most electric shaving it can throw fine shaved hair around, good idea to wipe sink and benches down after each shave
-Battery life is insane, have only charged it a couple of times in the last year and when it is low if gives you heaps of warning and use time before running out
-Although it seems to work on all lengths of hair, works best on stubble. If you use the pro attachment first to trim long hair down first, that does the trick

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY IT, BUY IT NOW!!!

I have been waiting for a shaver like this since I hit puberty 20 years ago! I have a very thick beard growth that is not only course but also grows in all different directions. I have tried many types of top brand electric shavers over the years ($400+ each) with varying success. I don't mind using a razor but with the thick growth that is a recipe for ingrown hairs which are a nightmare. This great little device had me clean shaven in under 10 minutes on the first use and I am hooked. In fact, ordering more right now as gifts! I would advise getting this model and the one up as opposed to the base model for the better battery life and quick charging. Seriously mate, buy one!

while not as sharp as other blades, this one will let you push against your skin as hard as you can, letting you get a close shave if you know how to use it.

takes longer than a simple blade but i no longer have to worry about cutting myself

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for sensitive skin and works on long hair growth.
Reviewed in Australia on 19 June 2020

I purchased this for my teenage son who has sensitive skin and is always cutting himself. This is amazing. Easiest shave he has ever had, it was quick gave a nice close finish and best of all no cuts or razor burn. He also has the Braun series 7 shaver, which I think is a great product but he doesn't shave frequently enough for it to work as intended then complains that it hurts. The One Shave sokves the problem and will suit him much better as he used it on long beard hair and it didn't hurt.

3.0 out of 5 stars Under expectations for sensitive skin
Reviewed in Australia on 1 July 2019

I have extremely sensitive skind and have been trying for years to find a shaving solution that does not leave me with rashes and ingrown hair on my face. So far my best solution has been a double edge razor, used with a lot of caution. Judging from other reviews, I bought the Oneblade, hoping that it would be at least on par with the DE. It is unfortunately not for me.
When using it without the guard, it produces a decent shave, but causes me a lot of irritation and subsequent ingrown hairs. It performs ok and mostly without irritation when using the guard at the smallest setting. Unfortunately it is however very hard to get an even shave at this setting.
Would not recommend as solution for sensitive skin. Otherwise yes, why not.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well

I'm happy with this, however the replacement blades are still quite expensive. They can be found on special occasionally, haven't seen them on sale on Amazon but have seen them drop in price around the place at other physical stores locally. I'm still using the very first blade that came with it and I shave with it twice a week, the other 2 days I use a traditional handheld shaver with gel, but this works great for me during the in between days to have a bit of a tidy up. Some other reviewers have mentioned that the blades are poor quality and break easily, I have not experienced this at all. I think possibly they are just being too rough with it. Be gentle with it and it should look after your shaving needs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for an electric shaver, with some caveats
Reviewed in Australia on 13 June 2022

After almost 2 years of use (and abuse), this is still the best electric shaver I've owned in my multiple decades of shaving. The "original" model is also reasonably-priced upfront, however you should be aware:
- the blades cost at least $15 each (in a 3 pack "subscription") and they only last as long as Philips want them to
- if you drop the shaver in the shower you'll need a new blade, there's no loops/hooks to secure/hang it anywhere either (see photo for improvised solution - 2 cable ties & optional s-biner)
- the non-pro model has no battery indicator and the charger only lights up when it's done
- it's messy to use when dry and not as effective when wet (especially on the neck)
- I still keep some (supersonic) disposable blades on hand

2.0 out of 5 stars Great product. I wish they never released the cheaper low quality versin
Reviewed in Australia on 14 June 2020

I bought one on Amazon last year.

I did so, because I already owned one (bought in Germany) and thought it would be handy to have one in my travel kit without having to pack my bathroom position and one.

I am Not recommending to buy the version that is sold on Amazon!

My battery died within two weeks.
When you recharge, it’ll last for about half a sheet.

It also does not have an LED indicator charging light -which was indeed part of the original item.

So I guess Phillips has made an attempt to meet customers low pricing expectations – but I certainly would not recommend it
