The little desk that keeps on giving

I've purchased the desk about two weeks ago as both my spouse and I have to work from home nowadays and, with coinciding conferences, one of us has to change rooms. All I can say is FANTASTIC! This little desk was not only easy to assemble, sturdy and mobile but it can be set to be very comfortable in a temporary location. Height is adjustable, it's quite stable once set-up an can carry around a very heavy laptop throughout various surfaces like carpet and tiles. I absolutely love it, I can still use my mouse even next to a large laptop and also fit a cup of coffee on the desk as well. Hopefully made in Australia!

PROS:
-Easy enough to put together
-Lite but doesn't feel overly flimsy.
-It comes with the needed tools for assembly.
-Wheels seem okay
-Clear instructions

MAJOR CONS:
-DESIGN FLAW RENDERS UNUSEABLE: The lowest height is very tall for most couches, chairs, and beds.
-FINISH IS POOR, with SHARP exposed edges of laminate around the edge of the desk.

Honestly not sure if I got a second hand one or something, but the wood laminate was peeling and there was a powdery substance. Overall, not particularly happy and the value isnt great, but at the end of the day.. it works.

-- main peices spot welded that does not run the edge of peices welded ... will not last as weldss will break later
-- paint chipped and flakes of some welds
-- metal peices have some slight signs of rust (i.e. orange dots)

-- Table top seems too light for MDF. I would guess chipboard or a type of ply. Note: I did not remove the veneer to check as this would damage the product.

I wanted this product to go across my bed so I could use my laptop while in bed. The arm was not long enough to reach across my bed in fact it would not reach across a child's bed. The arm was too short for the tray to reach.
The design needs a lot more work. I was disappointed as I have been looking for a product like this for a long time only to find I still haven't found it. My husband was able to make the arm a bit longer but it has nothing to support it, so is not as effective.

I like the simpleness of this product. It is easy to use and serves its purpose. However, I don't recommend this product if you have kids - it easily tips over, it does not have enough counter-balance to keep the desk sturdy.
