Featuring everything from man-eating tigers to pet turtles to violet lightning, these Prismatic tales will take you to worlds both familiar and exotic. Sip high tea on the volcanic cliffs of Alpha Infernum, trigger boobytraps in a futuristic penthouse decorated in shades of blue, and help a little green man named Jamie after he crashes to earth.
Find a lost identity wrapped up in memories of a ceramic bluebird. Laugh as a fiesty orange squirrel helps a clueless wanna be hunter get back at the village bullies. Gasp when a scientist gets more than he bargained for after bringing home a very unique butterfly specimen. And please understand that hackers from the Europa Liberation Army definitely did not program household robots to attack at the sight of Martian Red.
Forty-nine vivid tales written for fans of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thriller, and humor by authors from all over the world. Somewhere on these pages is an experience we hope you’ll never forget.

About the authors
Sophia Hansen writes organically, using no hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides on her words unless absolutely convenient. Having lived on a tiny island in Alaska and the bustling cities of New York and Boston, Sophia loves being settled in the southeast where she writes and edits in other worlds. Sophia loves plenty of coffee, crispy bacon, and—after 30+ years of marriage, seven children, and numerous pets—that she can still fit into her high school earrings.

Teddi Deppner is an indie author and co-founder of Havok Publishing, a flash fiction publisher. Whether writing or reading, she enjoys science fiction and urban fantasy the most, but never lets genre stop her from diving into a good story. She's also an artist and avid toy and nature photographer. Hear more about her projects at her website or connect with her on social media.
Sarah Rodecker is a Christian twenty-something who adores all things cats, coffee, and check-lists. She’s been writing since she was eight, dabbling in everything from mystery to contemporary, finally finding her calling in the speculative fiction realm. When she’s not banging away at her keyboard—or, more accurately, banging her head against her desk—she can be found dabbling in one of her many hobbies.

Texas author, Kathrese McKee, writes epic adventures for young adults and anyone else who enjoys pirates and princesses combined with life's difficult questions. She is committed to exciting stories, appropriate content, and quality craftsmanship.
Once upon a time, Kathrese worked as a systems engineer. After that, she taught Reading and ESL at the middle school level. These days, she edits fiction and turns a blind eye to the feral dust bunnies lurking beneath her desk.
Cassandra Hamm is a psychology nerd, art collector, jigsaw puzzler, art lover, and hopeless romantic who spends most of her time lost in another realm. She is a mental health advocate with a passion for social justice, and many of her stories focus on shattered girls finding their way in the world. Her two kittens, who are named after her favorite middle grade heroes, are the lights of her life. She suspects she may end up as a cat lady (or the owner of a Warrior Clan).
Kanchana is an engineer by training, but a story-teller at heart. Her flash fiction, published in the anthology Prismatic: Havok Season Five, won the Readers’ Choice Award. Some of her other short stories, travelogues and articles have been published on online platforms like Dialogue & Discourse and Boloji, as well as on her personal blog https://medium.com/@kanchanamenon.
Hannah Carter is just a girl who loves to dream and write...and who wakes up every day hoping this will be the day she figures out she's secretly a mermaid. She currently has two published novellas, "Amir and the Moon" and "Seashells." Her devotions have been published by magazines and in the “Finding God in Anime.” Her short story, "Lara," won a Reedsy competition. Another short story, “Of Underwoods and Underworlds,” can be found in SR Press anthology, “Whispers From Before.” She has flash fiction published by various magazines and websites, including the “Aphotic Love” anthology (“To Love a Phoenix), “The Depths We’ll Go To” (“What the Ocean Stole”), and Havok’s “Prismatic” anthology (“Potts & Pumpkins” and “A Home for Nova,” the latter which won the Editors’ Choice Award in 2021).

Hailing from Minnesota, Rachel Ann Michael Harris has wanted to be everything from FBI agent, actress, search and rescue dog handler, to teacher. But being a writer has been the only career that has stuck with her since childhood. She loved it so much that when she heard about a career where a degree in creative writing was acceptable, she was ready to jump. Double majoring in creative writing and communications, she graduated Magna Cum Laude and her first published work was a poem in her college’s literary magazine. Since then, she’s had numerous flash fiction stories published with Havok Publishing and is a contributor in several anthologies. She is currently working toward publishing her first full length novel. The Beauty of Magic is her first published novella.
When not writing, she is bingewatching a favorite TV show, reading a good book (hopefully), or doing one of these things when she should be writing.
If you want to keep up with her writing, reading, and dragons, follow her on Facebook, Instagram, GoodReads, LinkedIn, or her website at rachelannmichaelharris.wordpress.com.
