Why weren't we told about this in school.

Living history should have been taught in school in the 60/70's and now days, but in the past there were people who could have spoken about their experience of the hate. My school the men teachers were ex RAF pilots, ex Royal Navy, army men, a woman was a land girl. We had a Jewish teacher who taught us English, Mrs Rabwiowich why couldn't she have been allowed to tell us how it was. Our history lessons were 1066, Strips of fields and the plantagenots, amazing boring and long ago. Only now am I able to grasp what people went through including my own dad who fought in Burma. Thank goodness these dark days won't be forgotten.

What a book last words was amazing but this was just so hard to put down. I can't begin to imagine the pain and suffering these people went though but it is so well written in these two books. I highly recommend that you read them you won't be disappointed. Thank you Shari simply beautiful books.
