5.0 out of 5 starsAWESOME PRODUCT. Great job sucking rabbit hair out of the air. My sinuses love it!
Reviewed in Australia on 19 January 2022
We have indoor house rabbits that shed hair like crazy and I am a hay fever sufferer. The unit is quiet and effective. The air is noticeably cleaner and I am not waking up with blocked sinuses anymore.
We just leave it on auto mode and it responds instantly to change in the air. We have it positioned near where the rabbits tend to hang out and when we clean the area daily the unit responds instantly by cranking up the fan speed until the air again clears. Had it for a week now and very impressed so far. UPDATE 1 month later: The unit is fantastic for removing household odours. The rabbit litters don't smell anymore and as soon as the unit catches the smell of burnt toast or cooking it responds quickly, ups the boost and sucks the air clean. Smell is gone in no time. AWESOME PRODUCT! UPDATE: MONTHS LATER: Best product ever! Haven't used my sinus spray since having this unit. Quiet and intuitive. Super easy maintenance (wiping the exterior and the occasional vacuum of the exterior of the HEPA filter). I received an air quality alert on my phone the other day indicating that the unit was running at maximum speed with terrible air quality which was unusual. I went to check and someone had left a frying pan with oil on the hotplate which was starting to smoke. The unit picked it up before the smoke detector- could have prevented a fire.

1.0 out of 5 starsNot worth it.

This purifier looks good, and is silent while on sleep mode. It doesn't seem to do much though, and allergy sufferers in my house haven't mentioned feeling any better with this purifier. I purchased 3 units to go in bedrooms, and have them running continuously. They will detect if dust or outside air quality is poor and kick up a notch (while on auto setting). It's impossible to tell what setting is on (apart from high setting), there's no indicator to let you know what setting is on.
If I had the choice of returning these purifiers I would.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3000i is a good high volume smart air purifier, but has a vibration issue. 800 is fairly basic
Reviewed in Australia on 22 February 2022
Style Name: Series 3000iVerified Purchase
The 3000i is a great high-volume air purifier that I use in the open plan part of the house, as I have a family of asthmatics that are quite sensitive to allergens. I like the display - and the app - and it appears to be highly responsive to changes in air quality and consistent readings with the other purifiers that I have (a mix of Dyson and Xiaomi).
However, the non-PM2.5 displays aren't exactly intuitive (you need to know what L2 means for gas etc) and the unit has had a vibration from the get-go. It's not particularly noisy or distracting, but I am aware of it and worry for the fan's longevity, which is disappointing when the Xiaomi models - with similar vertical fan designs and that cost a third as much - don't have this issue.

I also bought the 800 for one of the bedrooms - it seems to work but as other reviewers have noted, is very basic. Fan speeds are basically very low (whisper quiet) or high (noisy) with nothing in between and the auto mode switches between these depending on air quality. Night mode turns the lights down. it doesn't have app smarts or screens to show air quality - just colour rings which are fairly vague.
Probably the least favourite of my four different air purifier models.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite impressed !
Reviewed in Australia on 6 November 2021

I purchased this not knowing what to expect as I’ve never used them before. I purchased it for a music room, not a bedroom. I must admit I don’t have asthma or allergies of any kind so it’s a purchase not entirely necessary. Firstly its super simple to use, and easy to see by colour the air quality. When it’s ‘red’ mode (really cleaning) you can hear it working but not so terrible that it interrupts my music rehearsing. When it’s on ‘blue’ mode (good air) it’s incredibly quiet and I forget it’s on. It’s larger than I was expecting about 40cm tall. Not heavy so easily portable if need be. So far am happy with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars No More Hayfever symptoms

I bought this in the hope that my clagged nose and gluggy eyes at night would be reduced. Better than that Now I can sleep all night without a dry throat and inflamed eyes. It works. This is a new model and the filters should still be available for years to come. Very happy indeed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to setup, works well and with a long lasting filter
Reviewed in Australia on 20 July 2022

Philips make good air filters; this the fourth I've purchased for various rooms. Easy to setup with the app. Idle mode is fairly quiet but still busy and processes quite a lot of air, unlike the smaller versions. The filter lasts quite a long time, as you are encouraged to vacuum it one a month or so to remove the outer layer of dust (it reminds you when). Unlike the other brands, the particle filter responds very quickly to even a slight increase in pollutants, and it is clearing working with small smoke particles up to excess perfume and air-cleaner aerosol droplets. I have a lot of confidence in the Philips air filters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money, good for a bedroom
Reviewed in Australia on 14 February 2022

It's a pretty small unit which is why we got it for a bedroom, but it's really good for the price.

It doesn't have an ionizer, which is probably a good thing because there's a lot of evidence those create overall more respiratory irritation. It doesn't have a charcoal filter, which is fine, because those serve a different purpose - absorbing gases and smells - whereas the hepa style filter in this is what filters out the particles, which would include dust, smoke, droplets that may spread virus etc.

Smart Air Purifier !
Good looking and very efficient!
The smart wifi features are a stand out. Every time the bad air quality level goes up you can set thresholds and get alerts.

Wide area coverage. Over all very impressive

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent air purifier for a large room
Reviewed in Australia on 26 May 2022

Easy to use (found the initial wifi connection a little tricky, but honestly I don't use the app), looks good, sturdy construction and does the job. I bought this based on the Choice Mag recommendation, it was the highest recommended in my price range. Visually easy to see how good the air quality is - you not only have a digital reading on the circular display panel on top, but the circular panel has a light display around it that changes colour according to air quality - quite decorative! We use ours in the lounge room (gas heater) and the fan noise is minimal, though it does rev up a bit occasionally if the air quality drops - at least you know it's doing the job properly! The overall design is modern and aesthetically pleasing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy In Australia (Doesn't work with Alexa)
Reviewed in Australia on 3 February 2022
Style Name: Series 2000iVerified Purchase
Save your money & buy something that is not Philips branded. The Alexa skill is not enabled in Australia (despite the listing citing the unit is Alexa enabled) meaning the key benefit of being able to operate the unit with your voice as a smart home device is not possible. Exceptionally disappointed, especially given the model is fitted with an Australian power plug too.
