I've had bleached hair for 15 years and this is hands down the strongest toner I've ever used. Lifts the colour in under a minute on my hair and being a toning mask, it doesn't leave hair feeling crispy in the way that many toning shampoos do

First of all it is messy and stains everything it touches secondly you’ve got to wash your hair before you can apply it and then leave it on for sometimes so it’s no good using it in the shower. It is very drying to the hair and not what I would call a moisturising mask. This mask was blue not purple which I expected as purple is the best colour for brassiness. It is a very messy product and is so intense it actually affected the grout in the shower even though I tried to be careful. I left it o. For the time specified for first use but I could see looking at my hair that it was not working. I gradually increased the amount of time I left it on for to give it the best chance of success but unfortunately it didn't do anything for my hair or my hair washing experience! If it had of worked I would of persevered and put up with the messy stressful experience but it made no difference to my hair. I actually have been generous with the stars awarded.

Used after bleaching and toning with the purple shampoo. Left for 10 mins for the first time and nothing happened. So I left it for 1 hour the second time and my hair is still yellow and brassy. For the price and review I thought it will be good. I'm really disappointed. Well designed and good for the environment but not for my brassy hair. 😑

Not working in highlights on dark hair

I had a dark brown natural hair with blonde highlights. My highlights were ashy blonde but they turned into brassy. I've first tested in a part from neckline. It didn't worked for 15mins. So I've done 20mins on my full hair. It didn't give any difference. 10 days later I've done another 20 minutes. I should say it make a very slight difference on the tone but not visible too much. Mask works good as a conditioner. Not the best but good. I will keep it for now, and try again as soon as my hairdresser change my colour. I will go with silver highlights then this product could help, i hope.

Disappointing with the Hair Mask (its Blue)

As a huge fan of the B Uniq shampoo, I thought I'd give the hair mask a try.
It's on me for not correctly reading the description which states "purple hair mask - blue masque".
Had I seen this I wouldn't have bothered, blue isn't great for highlighted hair and has a tendency to turn a little green.
That said it did an OK job of taking some of the brassiness out of my browner roots. I do think that there are better blue shampoos if this is what you are after.
Stick to the shampoo; it's thick enough to use as a mask and gets the ashy look that most people are after.

I put this on my hair which wasn’t a yellow blonde more a white blonde to see if it would brighten my hair up it came out a silvery grey wasn’t impressed for the price the elvive purple hair mask I normally use is just as good . Perhaps after a few washes it might fade hope so as I’m not keen on this colour . It probably works better for someone who has a lot of yellow or ginger tones .

Was quite worried about using this product as it has a few negative reviews and seems to have had quite a dramatic effect on a few heads of hair.
I followed the instructions and just left it for 5 mins the first time.... it is a great conditioning treatment. Made my hair lovely and soft but didn't change the colour at all. Just used it again and left it for 15 mins. Again, it has conditioned it well, but it's not really got rid of my yellow tones. Will try again leaving it lo ger next time.

Yes it kicks a lot of yellow but it’s smells so bad, so very bad. I was drying my hair and gagging. The 2nd time I used it I tried putting a normal conditioner on top to get rid of the smell but it took the purple out. So that didn’t work. I’ll not buy or use again. If you can deal with the bad smell it’s fine. But there’s better stuff out there to be fair.
