This is a fantastic controller. I like everything about this controller, except one thing. the paint on the buttons wore out so fast! I play Rocket League with this thing and I can no longer see which button is "A" and which is "B"

happened to find Razer gaming products by chasing down reviews. I bought a Tournament controller, and absolutely love it ( Razer Wolverine Ultimate Tournament ).
its like, one notch Down from this one.
i am getting a new Xbox, and wanted a controller worthy of it. so despite my OLD controller still working, despite the beating i give it ( a huge plus for RAZER Quality ), this was Prime day sale, so i couldnt resist

i only hope i can use all this thing is capable of.
if you are a Serious controller gamer.......... and being WIRED isnt an issue ( hey, i have XBOX wireless controllers.. but, i love the xtra mappable buttons, the extra jump buttons, the quick trigger settings way to much to NOT put up with a wired connection )
you will love this controller..
no batteries to charge, and an extension is a cheap price to pay, if you need one, to use a controller of this quality and build.

i also have Razer headphones, and yea, bought a set on Prime day, cause............................why not ?
love the Razer Thresher for Xbox One.. absolutely love it..
but i bought Razer Haptic Ultimate 7.1's.. cuz.........................again,, Prime Day.. sale.... why not ??

I purchased this because the Razer Sabretooth that I needed to replaced used gummy membrane contacts for the D-pad which had collapsed leaving the down arrow constantly sticking. I used the buyer Q&A and the answer sort-of came, but not with any specificity so hopefully my review answers the next person who may ask this. Yes, the D-pad issue has been resolved in the Wolverine - it uses a very tacticle set of contact switches much like the ABXY buttons. Huge improvement. The only nagging issue I have now is that the only part of this controller that lights up is the RGB strip near the top. On the Sabretooth, the ABXY buttons all lit up, and it had a small display on the bottom between the D-pad controls. On a quick little ask-around, it appears that customization of this controller is non-existent for PC users, so there's no modifying the colors, brightness, or anything else for that matter. In all honesty, I don't mind - the tactile controls are far more important than lighting garnish, however not having the buttons lit is a bit of an annoyance in low-light situations. If you're an X-box user, you can tweak and modify the controller all you want ... just not us PC folk ... kinda lame if you ask me.

I'm using this for PC, and it CLAIMS to be changeable with the Razer Synapse program, but Synapse 3 doesn't support it. Legacy doesn't even run anymore. And with the four additional buttons just being copies of face buttons, it's use is extremely limited. In fact, it kind of just makes gaming harder as now I have more buttons I can accidentally hit. It's a shame, because it's a quality controller, but without the ability to customize it, it's just not worth it.
