Product description

Racing Hearts is a romantic story which centers on Colin, an ambitious American investment banker (Jamie Dornan) and Isabelle, a young Flemish student (Charlotte De Bruyne). One of Colin's potential clients, a rich Arab sheik is a passionate pigeon fancier who has been trying to buy a champion pigeon 'Wittekop' from Flanders, but the owner, Joe Pauwels, has been stubbornly refusing his offers. In an attempt to gain the sheik's business, Colin proposes a deal: if he can convince Jos Pauwels to sell the pigeon, then the sheik will sign with his company. Colin sets off for Flanders, to the small village of Bunderzele, pretending be a teacher looking for the grave of his great-grandfather who died in World War I. When he meets the stubborn owner, and his beautiful granddaughter Isabelle, he realizes that his assignment will be more difficult than he had hoped.

Wow I bought this and just put it to one side as thought it wldnt be much cop but I have just watched it and i love it,I hated how colin tricked the pigeon guy and kinda had a feeling how the movie would pan out like he Colin's all about his job and hardly ever has time for women till he meets the right one and knew he would probs fix up the furniture n the bird would fly back home to its rightful owner and never been a big fan of pigeons but I loved the whole concept of this movie

An enjoyable and endearing Sunday afternoon film, with interesting story about pigeons and the part they played in WW1. I too purchased purely because of Jamie Dornan - I loved him in The Fall, which was brilliantly dark and was interested to see what else he had to offer in other films.

The corporate side of the film did not come off well at all, but the romance side and of the story of the pigeons were for me the best parts of the film.

I actually enjoyed this film. Not just because it was Jamie Dornan! Jamie was just the bonus for me haha. A great love story. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because although it's a great film, it was a little slow in parts. A great chick flicks with your girlfriends and a glass of wine.

Really enjoyed the back story of WW1 in this film. Also interested in the pigeon racing which is popular in the UK too. Jamie Dornan acted this well. Thought he acted the conflicted hard man convincingly. The Belgian cast were an absolute dream. All in all a good evening's entertainment.
