Product description
Last seen dangling from a balloon drifting across the Sydney skyline, Cleaver Greene (Richard Roxburgh) crashes back to earth - literally and metaphorically, when he's propelled through a harbourside window into the unwelcoming embrace of chaos past. Twisting and weaving the stories of the ensemble of characters we've grown to love over three stellar seasons, Season 4 of Rake continues the misadventures of dissolute Cleaver Greene and casts the fool's gaze on all levels of politics, the legal system, and our wider fears and obsessions.

This is the last of a four season series and we had to wait over a year for availability. This is television at its best - great actors and great stories. High production values. We’ve just finished our third series viewing. Yes, we like it that much. Richard Roxburgh is a gem; Cleaver Greene not so much, but it’s fun to watch his courtroom brilliance, and self-destructive behaviour.

An excellent show with the Aussie twist.

This Australian show has been excellent. The ending makes it possible to carry on with him as a Parliamentarian. Good entertainment

No worries mate, you cannot go wrong purchasing one of the most hilarious Australian TV series ever produced. Now rush online again and get Rake series 1 to 3. Keep smiling!
On a visit down-under last year to Brisbane I was still finishing up the final few episodes of series 3 and kept bringing up my many likes for this show to a few Aussies who would listen to anything a Yank had to say and soon discovered from their replies and body language that they seem to be somewhat 'ashamed' that this Rake characterization is so popular outside of their country so that seriously qualifies this TV show into the guilty-pleasure category. If you don't like this TV show it's because you have no humanity man!

Season Five---Please!
Reviewed in the United States on 17 November 2017Verified Purchase
The fourth season of Rake continues this insanely funny series. The series chronicles the misadventures of Australian barrister Cleaver Greene. It's take on the incompetence and corruption the Australian legal and political system echoes the foibles of their American counterparts---and I think this is why this show resonates here in the states. In fact, there was a failed attempt to "Americanize" this series. The Australian series (seasons 1-3) were shown on the Audience Channel on Direct TV. I'm not aware if the fourth season was broadcast in this country.
Cannot wait for season five---at least on DVD.
