“I think there’s room in a tragedy for everyone to be both right and wrong.”
4 1/2 stars.
CoHo has done it again. Throughout the novel, Hoover expresses the pain and trauma Kenna has gone through and still struggles with perfectly. The push and pull between Ledger and Kenna was raw, honest and truly beautiful. Did I cry over a pigeon? Yes, yes I did and only Miss Colleen and her sheer talent can accomplish that.
Anyway, back to the story. I loved Kenna and I thought she was a great MC. Ledger was lovely too. If I’m honest though, I feel like I totally missed the part where they were falling in love. It went from attraction, hate, friendship (employer/employee) to BAM in love with each other.
With that all being said, it’s a good book and you should read it.
WHY AM I CRYING?!
I did not expect to be awake at 2am balling my eyes out after finishing this book.
The first half of the book took me awhile because I’ve been in a reading slump lately but that last half, damn, I couldn’t put it down which is why it’s 2am.
Reminders of Him is so beautifully written. Ledger, Kenna, Grace, Patrick, Scotty, and Diem are all great characters, but I have to say my favourites were Roman and Ledger’s parents, their parts were the perfect mix of hilarity and seriousness.
It combines anger, hate, grief, happiness and acceptance all in a steady flow.
Another on of Colleen’s books to add to the favourites.
Kenna has spent the last five years incarcerated and since being released has saved every penny to be able to move back to the small town where her life changed forever hoping to be reunited with her four year old daughter.
But second chances never come easy and this small town hasn’t forgot what happened nor forgiven Kenna and try to run her of out town before she’s even had a chance to settled in. The one person that hasn’t written her off is Ledger the local bar owner. Who also happens to be Kenna’s daughter best friend.
Everything is so messy and Ledger risks loosing the trust of the people. Not all is fair in love and war. All Kenna wants is to build a better future for her family and finally heal her broken soul.
Only Colleen Hoover can make me fall in love with her characters only to shatter my heart make me ugly cry then slowly piece it back together and leave me feeling whole. This book was absolutely everything I wanted and needed it to be. I’m not kidding when I tell you I cried for the last quarter.
This definitely gives my favourites November 9 and Heart Bones a run for first place. I highly highly recommended Reminders of Him.

You never know the full truth so hear everyone’s side before taking any.
I am broken but I’ll be okay haha Colleen always destroys me but I have to say I think this is her most beautiful story yet and I am excited to re read it already

I received my copy today which I had pre ordered and was expecting a glossy copy of a paperback as I usually receive when something is published.
What I got was ANOTHER Amazon knock off copy where they print it themselves.
I wish that it would state somewhere in the description that this is what you are receiving. This has happened numerous times and for sending as gifts this is just embarrassing.
I know this doesn’t take away how good a novel this will be and doesn’t affect the writing, it’s just disappointment when you receive a sub standard item time and time again.

So heartfelt and honest - it's a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, so make sure you have a box of tissues at the ready. That bubble you get in your throat, that ache in your heart - that was prominent for me through the whole book.
What I Love most about Colleens books is the characters - its so easy to relate to them and to be able to emphasise with their lives and feelings. Also im in awe of the writing - how it grips you and pulls you in and makes you believe that you're in the story. Kenna's pain is portrayed so well within the writing. I adored the push and pull of the relationship between her and Ledger.
The uniqueness in this story can be found in the letters written throughout, I found that gave an added insight to Kenna the story. I loved that she wrote to Scotty it truly showed how much she was in love with him.
Another cracking read!! But then we all knew it was going to be right!?!?
