I love this series. I love the town of Prairie and all the folk who live there. The author makes you feel like they are your own extended family.

Isabella and Jaxon have been best friends since kindergarten and have shared a lot over the years (which is surprising and frustrating that he didn’t discuss his secret with her much earlier on. I guess if he did, there’d be no book 😂). I love how well they know each other and they fit together like a glove.

There are a few other storyline’s lurking in the background and a few cameos by characters from Tessa’s other stories (which isn’t surprising when they live in a small close-knit town).

I thoroughly recommend this and any of Tessa Laynes books. I have never been disappointed with any of them. ❤️🐴🤠

Their friendship has been forged by fire. When Jax was a teenager he was diagnosed with leukemia and had to undergo chemotherapy. When he was seventeen it came back and he almost died before getting a bone marrow transplant. He's been cancer free but the secret he's kept for years is the treatments left him sterile. A disastrous marriage revealed the truth and Jaxon has vowed to never get married again. The problem is he and Iz have been in love for years but neither one has acknowledged it. Until the day the chemistry between them gets to be too much and they sleep together. Both vow it could only be a one night stand but they can't stay away from each other. Iz wants lots of children and Jax knows he can't make that happen so refuses to commit to her. When her brother and his best friend interferes he forces Jax to break it off with Iz. She's devastated and when her friends confront Jax he tells them the truth. Eventually Isabella learns the real reason Jax broke up with her. Will she choose him above her dream of a big family? This was an awesome love story that I highly recommend reading.
