To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I am fine with a book being filled with Americanisms if it is set in America . This is set in Devon with an English heroine, so sorry but the ,' candy ' and the 'pot roasts' etc are all very jarring. The book is also very repetitive, far too many descriptions of how much she loves her son and what she is feeling . These are often very close to each other , like the books not been proofed properly. No real feel of Devon ,so not sure why it was set there. A shame as the set up was promising.
