A Royal Christmas Wish made me smile with it's feel-good and heartfelt Christmas story. If you are not into Hallmark books and movies, I'd give this a miss, as it is exactly what you would expect from Hallmark Publishing at Christmas, and that is just my kind of read as the holidays approach!
A Royal Christmas Wish is about Jenny James, a girl in her early 20's trying to find her niche in New York City. Her family comprises of her 2 overachieving sisters back home in Iowa, who both have found their way with professions they love, and their personal lives too. Even Jenny's best friend Margo has found love and is following her dream of acting.
Stuck in a rut, and pondering yet another failed job interview, Jenny literally runs into (while chasing a dog named Prince Harry!) a potential suitor, a man with a crinkly smile, who makes Jenny feel like there is more to come. What follows is a little bit of magic, some Christmas nostalgia, some soul-searching, and you have this fun and sweet Christmas book - A Royal Wish For Christmas. I recommend this for all the snow-loving, hot cocoa drinking, gingerbread making, dog loving, Christmas romance readers out there! 4 **** star review from me, this was a light read, with lots of smiles and Christmas magic along the way!
