IT IS THE GREATEST BOUNTY HUNT IN HISTORY
FIFTEEN NAMES
There are 15 targets, the finest warriors in the world-commandos, spies, terrorists.
And they must all be dead by 12 noon, today. The price on their heads: almost $20 million each.
ONE HERO
Among the names on the target list, one stands out. An enigmatic Marine named Shane Schofield, call-sign: SCARECROW.
NO LIMITS
And so Schofield is plunged into a headlong race around the world, pursued by a fearsome collection of international bounty hunters-including the 'Black Knight', a notoriously ruthless hunter who seems intent on eliminating only Schofield.
The race is on and the pace is frantic as Schofield fights for survival, in the process unveiling a vast international conspiracy and the terrible reason why he cannot, under any circumstances,
be allowed to live!
He led his men into hell in Ice Station .
He protected the President against all odds in Area 7 .
This time it's different.
Because this time Scarecrow is the target.
Scarecrow is the third book in the Shane Schofield series. With new exotic locations and weaponry, plus a returning cast of old friends from the battlefield, Scarecrow is set to take the action/adventure world by storm, and leave readers gasping for air. With his trademark style, Matthew Reilly continues to establish himself as one of today's top thriller writers.

The pace of this book is unbelievable. I cannot get enough of Matthew Reilly's stories. He is truly one of my most favorite authors. The pace of this story leaves one breathless, but you can't stop reading. All emotions are engaged. I feel exhausted after finishing this book. Love it, love it, love it!

If your looking to find out who the Scarecrow really is this is the book for you. Not only is he tested in brains and brawn but is tested emotionally and this one will have you on the edge of your seats until the very last page. You will be pulling your hair out, gasping aloud and crying hysterically throughout this world-win journey that is Scarecrow.

I read the first 3 Scarecrow novels back to back and I found by the end of this one that a lot of the action scenes were kind of predictable. Well, not in the sense of knowing how they were going to get out of certain situations, but the fact that whatever would happen was going to at the very last moment. Despite that, I found it equally as hard to put down as the first two and I enjoyed the story far more. The whole concept of the bounty hunt and the different players involved made for a very interesting book. If you like the first 2, you'll love this one.

I’m really a sci fi reader but this series blew me away. So much so, that I’m now a Matthew Reilly fan as well.

Classic Matthew Riley book and my favourite in the scarecrow series. The addition of the black night was awesome! Really hoping he one day gets his own story.

I picked this book up as i was caught on a broken bus but after realising i had missed my stop due to being so involved with the story i immediately ordered all the rest in the series. I raced through them during my annual leave and finished all of them. These books are full of thrills, spills and heart stopping moments with characters you will love. I highly recommend them. I have now downloaded the Jack West series to see if they are as good.

This is another good younger persons book. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first two but it was still good.
Still has all the unbelieveable action and fast paced Flow his others have.

Another masterpiece.

The third in the Scarecrow series and just as gripping as the first two. A fast paced, clever plot with the introduction of new characters and, as usual, the body count piles up! Although a stand-alone novel, anyone who hasn't read Matthew Reilly before should start at the first in the series (Ice Station) as references are made to it. Without wanting to give anything away, there are some shocking twists. Couldn't but the book down.

A helluva ride, but blurred text in diagrams and maps
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2017Verified Purchase
I actually reread this book - I will reread all of Reilly's books - because I was so impressed by its sheer inventiveness and relentless pace . Nobody writes action like Matthew Reilly.
So why "only" four stars ? Because most of the text accompanying the essential diagrams and drawings is blurred. Really an issue Kindle needs to address.

An intense adventure full Of Blam-Blam-Blam
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 September 2015Verified Purchase
Another killer read from the pen of Mathew Reilly. Plenty of Blam-Blam-Blam (I.e. lots of shootouts) and chases galore, all set on fifth gear. This novel is definitely sponsored by Mach-3 and it is also absorbing and it's obvious that Mr Reilly has researched intensely. Very imaginative. Superb.
