It's like they didn't even try with this tired and lazy plot.
Watch it to revel in the cringe and predictability.
Talk about flogging a dead horse!

Product description
Directed by suspense master and director of the first trilogy, Wes Craven, SCREAM 4 is the newest installment in the acclaimed franchise that ushered in a new wave of horror in the 1990s. In SCREAM 4, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts). Unfortunately Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghost Face, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends (Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin) and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

Still worth a watch if your happy with the franchise so far. Nothing overly original as far as humour and lead up goes. I really hope this is the last one as I don't think I'd bother watching another

blood thirsty killer movie, bit to much comedy in it,ruining, disintegration. the scary bit, making it feel like a fake movie, i like been scared, sposed to be a horror, but i still enjoyed it, like to see more scary movie, a bit more scary, with out the delays but, still good movie.

SCREAM 4 DVD

Couldn't resist this as SCREAM 1 - 3 just recently watched and mostly enjoyed. Glad I did. Excellent transfer, correct ratio, good clear picture, sound and subtitles. It's sometimes an odd experience reading other reviews. There are quite a few ONE star ones, and bizarrely perhaps, I find myself agreeing with a lot of them. Tired? Poorly written? Badly acted? Unbelievable?? Maybe, but I thoroughly enjoyed this 4th venture, ably directed again by Craven and written by Williamson, with 3 returning stars Cox/Arquette, and Campbell (who I must say did not look overly happy, but then she isn't supposed too!( Loads more blood and gore. An awful lot of "F" words could spoil the film for some, but the sheer cheek and pace, and the fact I didn't have a clue who "Ghostface" was, just made the 100 mins fly by. Lovely to see Hayden Panattiere in a nice part. Read the 1 and 2 star reviews and some of the many 5 star ones. Difficult? Hard to decide? At the current price (£6) go for it.

Great effort for a new generation

I brought this on Blu Ray to complete my Scream set.
For the Blu ray I was disappointed it had no special features. Maybe they are on another edition. The picture was good, but I felt it was lacking for HD. Slightly pixelated in dark scenes. But it was worth buying at a low price.
As for the film itself. Not my favourite in the series, you can't beat the original trilogy. But I enjoyed the way worked in all the technology of today into the movie. Scream 4 is tame compared to Scream 1 2 and 3. But it's still a clever little "guess who's the killer" movie. With the added in humour and of course the original 3 characters, and a fresh well known new young cast.

I'm Back

I really enjoyed the scream movies and just as usual Sidney and the cast did the usual and set the movie into motion, plenty of laughs and suspense with a bit of that and this, Yes where ever Sidney goes so does death. Its always good to have a laugh and this show will give it in leaps and bounds so expect what ever at anytime. No more clues so get moving of to the store and get with it to-night so later you can be the judge about this movie and what you think. I rated this an A grade plus for the fabulous entertainment of keeping me fixed to the screen not wanting to move in case I miss something. Don't forget the popcorn so go and relax on the chair, put your feet up and watch an unforgettable comedy that will keep you entertained as the others in the series did.

GOOD EFFORT

A NEW TAKE ON THE ORIGINAL FILMS. ITS GOOD TO SEE THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS WITH NEW, UPCOMING ACTORS AND ACTRESSES.
IT HAS WIT AND HUMOUR, BUT ALSO A GOOD PLOT. USING UP TO DATE TECHNOLOGY AND SHOWING HOW MEDIA OBSESSED TEENAGERS ARE. THIS FILM HAS PLENTY OF ACTION AND DEAD BODIES. A GOOD TWIST AND A KILLER WHO IS REMAKING THE ORIGINAL FILM WITH A DIFFERENCE.
I THINK THIS COULD BE THE BEGINNING OF A NEW TRILOGY?

A Return to Brilliance
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 December 2014Verified Purchase
A solid sequel which benefits greatly from the return of Kevin Williamson as writer. Already you notice the return of "quality" to the franchise and although it doesn't quite reach the heights of the first two movies, it cleverly decides not to copy them and try something slightly different with the motive of the killer very "modern". The opening scene and final act are excellent and stand proudly with the best sequences this franchise has put out. Highly reccommended.
