The characters are perfection, Liv is such a amazing character, love her artiness and her hermit-like life.
The sexual tension is off the charts and the sex scenes are steamy and hot AF.
The mystery and suspense had me on the edge of my chair, honestly couldn’t put the book down until the very last word.
That ending, left me needing more!
Can’t wait to read the next book in this series

Not too bad. Didn’t really like the Olivia character - she came across as an annoying, ditzy klutz with no backbone at all. Hope her character gets redeemed in the second book and there was no depth to Alex’s ‘ character. I didn’t get that feel of him being a brooding, dangerous man at all. Storyline was okay, will be reading the second book only to see how it ends.

I’ve read the duet and now gone back to review. This story is well written and all though pretty light on the Bratva lifestyle (no blood and guts violence as one would expect of a Russian mob) it keeps you guessing to the very end. Olivia meets a handsome mysterious man Aleks at the airport on her way to visit her Mum, brother and sister. Olivia decides to do something out of the ordinary for her and hooks up with this intriguing man on the plane, then he disappears. When she arrives at her family home she is shocked to find her mystery man there with plans to stop her FBI brother from his investigation of him. To do so he kidnaps Olivia and forces her to marry him. This first book is about Olivia being held in Alek’s house and their developing relationship. It’s also about Alek using his Bratva team to find out who is feeding the FBI with tips about Alek being responsible for young girls being kidnapped and abused. Book one ends with Olivia running away from Alek and landing into a more precarious situation than she’s in now. Good read.

I love Olivia and Aleks. Olivia is taken by Aleks until her brother Rob drops his case against the Bratva. It becomes more personal to Aleks to keep Olivia as he is falling for her. Olivia is handling her stay well considering she does not get to see her family whilst being with Aleks although she does get to speak to them on the phone. There is a lot of chemistry with Olivia and Aleks. there is lots of twists and turns in this book that will keep you turning the page. I loved it so much I am now reading book 2.
