Several women of varying ages, from late 20's to 60 something have enrolled in an outward bound course as they feel there's something missing in their mundane lives & they need to restore their self esteem. They all have different reasons for feeling the way they do although the youngest member of the group believes she is there just to give moral support to her mother whose idea it was for them both to take the course. The film follows the group through each challenge watching them bond or not with each other. It's funny & sad & moving & a delight. As always Julie Walters delivers a fine performance, as does the rest of the cast, not a weak performance from anyone. Just a note to say there is full frontal nudity including Ms Walters (wow) in a group shower scene towards the start of the film & later when night time skinny dipping in the lake.
This is another example of what the British film industry is extremely good at.
