Product description
Mel Brooks, Dom Deluise and Marty Feldman pay affectionate, hilarious tribute to Hollywood's Silent Era in this classic parody of the movie business. Attempting to save his studio from the conglomerate "Engulf and Devour," a has-been movie director (Brooks) casts some of the hottest movie stars in town (all of whom spoof themselves) in one huge blockbuster film.

Hysyerical!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 March 2014Verified Purchase
The 4th funniest film of Mel Brooks, showing that silent can still be the best. His funniest films are, in order, The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. A very funny man that lost his way in later films.

What no subtitles?
An enjoyable romp with Mel, Dom and Marty. Has all the classic hallmarks of a Brooks film and is all the better for that.

Mel Brooks Genius?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2014Verified Purchase
Mel Brooks can do no wrong in my eyes, so maybe i am the wrong person to review his work. It speaks volumes for his humour
when the only person to speak in the film is a mime artist

Only One Word Spoken and Volumes Said!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 February 2013Verified Purchase
Mel Brooks in his pomp! Keep an eye on the late and fantastic Marty Feldman throughout. The expression "genius" is a little overworked these days. There's something irreverent and visceral happening scene by scene. Enjoy
