2. All of the parts of product feels really cheap. It doesn't feel like it is worth of $42. The buttons feel like cheap plastic with no glowing finish, L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons are losen tightness. Clicking analogue sticks sounds really cheap. Also the shells look cheap. Back lights are way too bight.
3. Bluetooth signal isn't consistent. It loses bluetooth signal quite often when you play games for long time.
Like, genuine dualshock 4 is less than $60 from Ebay, I wouldn't buy this fake dualshock with horrible quality.
The controller itself feels like some parts were hastily replaced. The usual refurbished signs (discolouring+little scratches here and there),the little ridge where the front and back pieces of the controller connect together doesn't feel smooth and will scratch your hand while holding the handle. The right trigger makes the kind of sound as if it were used for years and the spring inside had worn out. Pretty ignorable stuff so far for a cheaper (genuine?) controller as I usually play with headphones on anyways.
BIGGEST ISSUE is that the controller keeps disconnecting and reconnecting (at any battery charge) for about 10 seconds at a time. This has been a problem within the first hour of using the controller and it still persists days later. Lodged a return/replacement but until then this is my experience.
Furthermore, the design of the controller is very good in my opinion. It is similar to previous PlayStation controllers but has a slightly improved shape, better thumb sticks and better shoulder triggers. This is my favourite controller when it comes to gaming, though I have also come to like the Switch Pro controller.
Anyway, after five plus years, my red controller has started experiencing some stick drift. Basically, it registers slight movement when I am not manipulating the thumb stick. It's a shame, but after so many years and hours I can't really begrudge my old controller for finally starting to experience mechanical faults. So I decided to buy a new replacement DualShock 4, this time in white, since the original two have served me so well.
I was consequently rather irritated when my new controller arrived and I noticed that it had been somewhat poorly assembled. The "seams" or whatever in the middle of the controller, along the sides of the grips grips etc, are jagged and uneven on the right grip. Essentially, it appears that when the top and bottom halves of the plastic casing were sealed together, it was done clumsily, and as a result the seam juts out noticeably. It is irritating to brush my skin against it when holding the controller, and to be honest I expected far better quality control and consistency from a brand as big as Sony. My two old controller are completely smooth and symmetrical, with no irritating protruding seams. It's the type of minor fault I'd expect from a third party brand, but not from the official DualShock 4.
If I had bought the controller in a local physical store, I might take it back and complain. But the last time I had to replace something I bought online it took over a month. So since this fault doesn't appear to affect the function of the controller I suppose I will simply keep it so that it can serve as a reminder of the potential risks of online shopping. As great as it is to get products delivered to my door within two days, it might be better for me to stick to physical stores when possible so that defective products can be easily replaced. I am grateful that in this case it is only a minor fault at the time of writing this review.
I like the light coming through touchpad, that's different to my originals and is a nice touch, so +1 for that.

It's a relief then that for this new generation the Dualshock controller has become perhaps the most ergonomically pleasing and comfortable controllers I have ever used. Every issue I had, from the triggers, proportions and grip have all been fixed and perfected in this controller. It is that good.
There are two downsides though. The first is the touchpad, it's a gimmick and awkward to use. Thankfully it's use isn't mandatory in most of the games I've played. The other? The lightbar. Even though software updates have allowed you to dim the brightness it is still too bright and frequently is visible reflecting off my T.V. when a dark image is displayed, thus ruining immersion. Hopefully these issues will be resolved with the Dualshock 5 when the Playstation 5 is released.
Overall, this is a wonderful controller that has put Playstation on top of the mountain for console controller ergonomics and usability.
