Fantastic, classic comedy with the added benefit of being a truely enjoyable cop-movie. Watched this film the first time as a teen in my home country. Even though it was dubbed it was good even then. But watching it in its original English version was just really a pleasure and I enjoyed every minute of it. If you are down or need some general cheering up, I recommend an evening staying in with this movie and popcorn and I promise you'll feel better!

Yes, I know it's not one of the greatest movies of all time. But it's actually very entertaining and well shot. I love Richard Dreyfuss as the well-intentioned, slightly randy but good-hearted cop, and hunky (moustachio'd) Emilio Estevez keeping him in check. It's actually a great chick flick, although that's not obvious on the face of it - Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio and Aidan Quinn - there's someone in it for every girl!

I actually bought this for my Dad but we ended up watching the film together as a family. It is a hilarious 80's film with some typical slapstick comedy throughout. It has a lighthearted, enjoyable theme as well as a solid plot. I would definitely recommend it, especially at the bargain of a price.
