Should've expected it at this price, but theres no RF shielding inside the cable (Hence it being extremely thin compared to others). As a conciquence when plugged in it causes static noise to be picked up.
I had this so I could plug it into the headphone port on my laptop and then into my bose desktop speakers, the noise it adds makes it completely unusable though.
Obviously your mileage may vary, if you dont have any screens, bluetooth devices, phones etc around I'm sure its fine but if you do, then you're probably better off spending £1 extra and get one with decent shielding.
For the price it is difficult to complain, but expected the cable to last more than a month. The sound on my headphones started cutting out unless the cable was twisted and turned into a specific position — similar to the original cable I had (for the headphones), although that one lasted two years!
It’s a good cable if you won’t use it frequently, i.e. it won’t be moved around much. If you’re looking to use it actively in likes of headphones, then invest into slightly more expensive one.
I order this excited to have some extra length when remote teaching my goddaughter. When it arrived it came well package, no damage to the packaging in any way so i was quite happy eith this. Until I uxed the lead. Only one headphone works with the lead, I dont own cheap headphones by any means, as they are sony, but I dont believe everything must be branded.
Having no issues with my lead bar wanting more length so for noe I am back using my own personal lead from before purchasing.
The packaging says lifetime warranty but honestly for the price, I was happy enough to just buy another one and save us both the hassle. my first one lasted around 3 years before cutting out sound on one side. my second one is 2 years old and still going strong without issues.
I use it more or less every day and it moves around as it's in my car.
This review is for the 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable. There are a whole mix of reviews for other cables including usb cables here also. I bought this cable to connect my iPod to my portable speaker. It is nice and short at just under 30cm so there are no tangled wires or cable ties needed. The plastics feel good quality and the jacks are nicely moulded. Strain relief is moulded into the plastic at the ends of the cable. The jacks are gold coloured but at this price point I doubt they have any actual gold metal in them. The sound quality seems absolutely fine.
This is a useful, well made, good quality little cable that is perfect where you want to attach a phone or iPod to a speaker without miles of cable between. It is excellent value for the price.
I use this cable for connecting my Nexus 5 to the aux input in my car, being slim it allows me to connect it without having to take the case off of my phone which was really annoying with my other cable. The length is the right for allowing me to hold and select songs or podcasts (when not driving) without feeling restricted. The cable has fallen on the floor a few times and had some rougher treatment and it is still working fine. It's not fancy and what you would expect but overall it's good value for money in comparison to others and well built, for the price I can't not recommend.
