Sweet Sacrifice: A Dark Brother's Best Friend Romance (King's Trace Antiheroes Book 3) Kindle Edition
I learned long ago that not all heroes wear capes.
Some don masks and armor to hide their battle scars.
Others are irreparably broken.
Princes without kingdoms.
Kings without crowns.
I tried to fix the hero of my story.
But I’m afraid I’ve only made things worse.
I learned long ago that all people bleed evil.
Some don harsh wit and beauty to hide their truths.
Others are inescapably lost.
Princesses without castles.
Queens without subjects.
I tried to slay the evil in my story.
But I’m afraid some demons are permanent.
Sweet Sacrifice is a dark age gap, brother's best friend romance, and while it contains mafia elements, it is not a mafia romance. It is not recommended for people with certain triggers. Reader discretion is advised.
Book 3 in the King's Trace Antiheroes series - Sweet Sacrifice can be read as a complete standalone, however reading the first two books in the series is highly recommended.

There were no typos, no one-dimensional characters, the writing was excellent and the sexual chemistry was hot. I felt a lot of the action was skipped over, but maybe I'd have felt differently about this if I'd read the first two books as I think the scenes are similar.
I feel there is so much more to explore with this couple and that the book could have cut out a lot of the unnecessary 'on and off' of their relationship. It should have focused on developing their relationship more in depth instead.
That being said, I loved the connection between the characters and I loved the touches of graphic violence as they made this book interesting. I'm a fan of dark romance so if that isn't for you, steer clear.
I will remember this book unlike a lot of other romances I read and I think it deserves a LOT more hype. Justice for Fiona and Boyd! Way better than series such as Endgame by Skye Warren, and that has 14,000 ratings instead of 300.
Thank you to the author for this wonderful book.
Boyd however, jeeez that man is too hot to handle! And together they are just...🔥
Reading Boyds POV, his anxiety while handling Fiona was so exciting
Out of the three books I think this relationship was the most realistic
Also loved how the author stressed their mental health and how they handled it in the relashionship
