it was a little boring that they kept being chased by the story police. oops spoiler alert!! but i thing terrys dot story was actually funny because the dots fall in love and get children (sorry andy). over all it was a great book and i recomend it for all ages!!!!!

The kids can't get enough of these books. I haven't read them so won't rate their literary value, but if it keeps the kids reading I'm happy enough.
Reaction didn't seem to be as positive to this book as previous ones though.

honestly i skip over the third page after they say who there names are. the stories just get less creative every book, and the characters look different. but i grew up with this series and when you start you can't stop.so over all i think it would be a great first book for children to read with thier parents.

basically a repeat of Terry's Dumb Dot Story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2019Verified Purchase
Of course it's very, very funny, like all the Andy and Terry books. But this book is a bit of a cheat because it's essentially a repeat of Terry's Dumb Dot Story (the one they published as a freeby book for World Book Day)... many of the same words, the same plot, many similar illustrations... just expanded a bit to fill a real-sized book. Feel a bit cheated.

An incredibly lazy sequel. I wouldn't bother.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2019Verified Purchase
My son is an avid fan of the Treehouse books and has read every one. We pre-ordered this and have been waiting for it for it for weeks. What a disappointment. Much of the story is stolen from other writers - "Beatrix Potty" and "Peter Poopypants"! Huge sections repeated over pages and pages to fill the book out. We are half way through and my son is bored. Doesn't want to read it anymore. I think the authors have got greedy and lazy. I really think they did knock this one up in day. A huge thumbs down from us. Mr Big Nose publisher really should have sent them packing with this one and told them to try again rather than try to cash in.

not as good as i thoght

it was a good book like all of them but they keep on repeting the same words over and over for example he scraped and scraped and scraped and scraped you get the idea . it is not very imaginative and is just a copy of the dumb dot story and i have felt like i have been cheeted on because in the dumb dot story released on world book day the just made it look longer and like a real book. you should read it as its amazing
and dont blame me or Andy or Terry if you have child drawing a hole on the floor every chance they get ,and like i said before its not very imaginative well the reson is every escape they make they always use a drawing of a hole.
it is good size, font and languish for beginer readers and they will probably like it like i did if you dont like this book try TOM GATES BY LIZ PICHON DIARY OF A WIMPY KID JEFF KENNEY DAVID WALLIAMS BOOKS COMTANCE VALANCE BOOKS or if you like football like i do (spurs AKA tottenham hotspurs are the best )try CHARLIE FRY ALL FIVE BOOKS or DIARY OF AN AMAZING FRENDLY KID ROWLY JEFFERSONS JOURNAL BY JEFF KENNY ALSO DAV PILKY CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS AND DOG MAN ARE BEST SELLERS TO these are also good for begginers to but charlie fry is a bit harder just letting you know but i need to get on about the one hundred and seventeen story treehouse as that is what the review is about. the bit that was imaginative was the story police totaly made up im not being sarcastic it was one of the best books i ever read as it is very attractive im only ten just saying im using my mums reading account .
at first i rated it three stars but then chsnged it to four. it diddnt take to long to read and suprisingly this review took longer to write then to read the book. i hope you enjoy reading the book(if you are going to read which you probably are)
best wishes

Usual fun - but if you bought the Dumb Dot Story, you're paying twice!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 August 2019Verified Purchase
Bit disappointed because a big chunk of this book is a repeat of the Comic Relief Dumb Dot Story which they released a while back - as we buy ALL the Treehouse stories, we've paid twice. As much as we love these stories, could it be they are running out of ideas???

Beware repeat of Terry’s Dumb Dot Story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 August 2019Verified Purchase
Bought this for my daughters birthday, because she really loves these books, she was very disappointed to find the story is a repeat of Terry’s Dumb Dot story, her exact words were “now one if my birthday presents is ruined” such a shame as she was really looking forward to getting this book.
