This book meandered between the real and a proximity of an afterlife. Would I reread this, I’m really not sure. I do appreciate that everything was tied up by the end but it was a little otherworldly. I’m fairly confident that Merlin won’t become a regular like Puller, Amos, Mercy et al.

Disappointing. The worst Baldacci book I have read, and I think I’ve read all of them. It was uncomfortable reading from the opening chapter. The supernatural elements didn’t sit well with me either.

Lucky to get a 3 star rating - didn’t really look forward to picking up the book for the next few chapters.

I generally enjoy David Baldacci’s books. This seemed to me to be something he wrote for himself rather than his readers. Unless you are an American football fan and understand the game, this book will mean nothing to you. I tried to read it twice and gave up as I hadn't a clue what they were all talking about! This book should carry a warning, but I am giving one here!

I love most of David Baldaci’s books but this is far too specialised for UK audiences.
