Product description
Steve McQueen's last movie shows the dynamic talent of the late, great a ctor in one of his most memorable roles: the true story of Ralph "Papa" Thorson, a modern day bounty hunter. Thorson's exploits are detailed as he pursues a number of fugitives who have skipped bail. The chase comes full circle when he becomes the quarry of a vengeful psychopath. McQueen 's multi-dimensional performance as Thorson, a man born in the wrong age, is counterpoint to the explosive action in The Hunter.

A difficult watch.

Steve McQueen's last film, already terminally ill from cancer. It shows ---- beneath the zest and athleticism shown by this true professional in keeping with the role, an active modern day bounty hunter, you can see the sorrow etched into the man.
So sad to say that this was below his best. He did his best. I loved the action, the chase, the little cameos brought in to take the weight off McQueen's shoulders, the multi characters that he tried to be in the title role, partner, father, lawman, athlete ---- just one thing missing - cool- already taken from him.
English language and subtitles on my copy which will remain treasured.

Steve McQueen

This is one of my most favourite films of all time, the fact that it was Steve McQueen's final filmic outing, makes all the performances very poignant and he shows so much empathy and genuine integrity in just one look into the camera. Dialogue is minimal, it shows how important his performance was so much down to sheer magnetic charisma and craft. The story is a modern day turn on the life of a bounty hunter. The fact that the star of the film plays on his lack of driving skills and getting a bit old purely plays up to the fact that Steve McQueen was all action and yet a romantic lead too and not afraid to balance his roles. The chase scenes on the train are truly exciting and wonderfully choreographed.

Steve is hurting in this one and looks tired. He passed away from cancer shortly after. A by The Numbers action early 80’s style with One of The Coolest actors ever. Give it a try for Steve’s sake....

Excellent Film

Some reviews have said that this is not one of his best films. I think it is. You have to take in to consideration, that the man was dying almost,. and that said, it makes the film even more of a hit in my eyes. Although I am writing this review now, I have seen this film more times than I can count. And for me to still be buying it says it all. Good films like this don't show up anymore. When Steve McQueen left this planet, the acting profession lost one of it's best. Anyone thinking of buying this, well, don't worry, you will not be disappointed. R.I.P. Steve. A true Star..!
