This was the third one of these air mattresses that I have purchased and every one has developed leaks despite my best efforts to keep my tent free of any debris. I love the comfort and light weight but what good are they if they don’t hold air? Fortunately my leaks have all been slow so I was able to add air during the night do as not to go flat.

Therm-a-rest: Add a coating to the bottom of this mattress to prevent these micro pin holes!

Went on my first backpacking trip last weekend. Inflating the thing was ok, but expect to reinflate it as many as four times throughout the night. I am 5’7” 150lbs and this would deflate after laying on it for as little as two hours. Needless to say I had a miserable trip.

I inspected the pad top to bottom and could not find a leak. I came to the conclusion it may be a faulty nozzle.

On the third day I opted to hike the remaining 16 miles of the 24 mile round trip just to get a hotel so I did not have to sleep on this pad again.

I’m new so maybe this happens often. Weather was clear skies and dropped to maybe 30-40 at night. Was not in extreme conditions in the slightest.

Slow air leak

I had high hopes for this ultralight air mat, but after using it twice I'm noticing that it has a slow air leak which makes the pad deflate in less than 20 minutes. The pad is essentially unusable now :/

The first one had a slow leak. I returned it and they sent a new one. I figured there was no way this one was faulty too and waited until the night before a hike to try it out. This one wouldn't hold any air. I went to far past the return date and am now stuck with an overpriced deflated balloon.
