Lucy Score’s latest release is absolutely fabulous. The storyline is deliciously funny and had me lol’ing and smiling throughout the book.

ALL the characters are great, especially the MC’s Naomi and Knox. I absolutely love the way Lucy describes Naomi’s first impressions of Knox… as “the blonde god of sexy fury who looked like he’d just stormed off a marauding Viking vessel”. 🥵🔥

Naomi is such an awesome character. She is so loving and caring, and always puts everyone else’s needs before her own. We get to witness her beautiful selfless personality when she gives up everything to go to the aid of her twin sister Tina, who lives in the small town of Knockemout, just outside of DC. So many things happen in the book that will keep you entertained and glued to the pages, and I guarantee you’ll love every minute of it.

The storyline has a great ending, it’s exactly what you want from a romance book, and the dedication in the end is undeniably heartbreaking… but the bonus epilogue she leaves us with right at end is what makes this book fabulous!

This book is filled with so much Lucy Score goodness that grabbed me right from the first chapter.

Both main characters have tons of baggage which makes their individual stories interesting and watching them come together was so enjoyable.

Knox is happy with things the way they are. He wants nothing to do with Naomi but can’t stop helping her.

Naomi is having a bad day, no a bad week and it just keeps getting worse. Running from her wedding, having her twin sister steal her stuff and leave her with an 11 year old niece she knew nothing about is quite enough.

But then there’s the grumpy and rude guy who won’t stop helping her. Knox and Naomi’s banter is on point which just escalates the spark between them.

I couldn’t put this one down. The more the story progressed the more I wanted. As with a Lucy Score world there are delightful side characters and a couple of them are begging for their own stories.

Read this if you enjoy reluctant hero’s, capable but chaotic heroines, quirky towns filled with eccentric folk and a story of two people who have to be brave to get their happily ever after.

Naomi is a runaway bride who stumbles into a small town to aid her troubled twin sister. When she turns up she doesn't find her sister. Instead, she finds a niece she never knew she had and a very tall, very handsome viking looking god - Knox.

My favourite things about this book:
➡️ all the characters were over 30
➡️ the characters were complex, the world building in this book was 🤌🤌
➡️ I didn't just love the main characters, I loved EVERY character in this book. They all had a role to play and played it to perfection
➡️ I literally laughed out loud in scenes
➡️ there were no unnecessary scenes or scenes where I felt the mc's inner monologue dragged on

Although I don't think there were any moments that specifically made me go OMG, the book as a whole just had me coming away from it feeling great - like the way you feel after watching a feel good movie.

I would definitely read a book based on Lucian if Lucy Score decided to write one. Fingers crossed it would be darker. Oh, that would be perfection!

This book pretty much guarantees to put a smile on your face.
I put this book on another author's "what are you reading" post on Facebook, then I felt the need to give it a bit of background, as the title sounds quite heavy, I felt like that might put people off checking it out, so said it's a rom com. Now, I'm thinking, did I describe that wrong?
Well it is funny, it has romance, so yeah I don't think I'm wrong. It does deal with some heavy stuff too, shitty parenting, child abandonment, attempted murder, so don't expect it to be all laughs. I like a bit of drama so thumbs up from me.
Now, in real life I don't have much time for grumpy people, but the grumpy/sunshine trope does tend to suck me in every time, contrary? Probably.
I definitely identified with Naomi/Daisy, and enjoyed seeing her sorting out her life.
Knox was great in his grumpy way, it was really amusing when you could see how in deep he was with Naomi/Daisy while all the while denying it.
Yeah it is a little annoying when the male best friend has to be gay, girls can have straight male best friends too, the guy one is just a little bit overdone in books in my opinion, but I loved Stef's character, he was a hoot.
Lots of other good supporting characters too.

With wedding dress shoved in her bag she heads off to Knockemout where she finds out that her sister has conned her, stolen her car and credit cards and left behind an 11 year old Niece she knew nothing about. Stranded with nowhere to go she meets Mr Hot and Sexy Grouch Knox who only yells at her when he thinks she is her twin sister who did the whole town wrong. This story although filled with people who carry enough baggage to set up a leather goods shop, is filled with loveable characters and a feisty grandma. I loved the big and grumpy Knox, who always seemed to be there every time Naomi needed him🥰. Awesome read👍

I read the reviews on this book and I was so excited to settle in for a long nights reading.... however....I was mislead big time!
I guess those who read and reviewed this book don't care about the liberal use of the F word. There is very little use for this word unless someone is pouring vegetable oil on your stomach while attempting to rape you and you kick their manhood as hard as you can tells them to get the F off you.

It could have been good but it was pure trash and I only read 4 chapters!!

This book is not great. The main characters are annoying and have no chemistry. I’m not sure who started the “grumpy” trope, but I just wish it would stop. This character was not grumpy, he was a possessive, abusive, Neanderthal. No woman in her right mind finds that behavior attractive. There were also way too many characters, it was impossible to keep track. This is the fourth book of hers in a row that I disliked, probably my last.

This is the first Lucy Score book I've read.
I was attracted to the cover with the daisies. It looked different to other romance books with hot men or couples. And the book is different - it has more emotional depth, more wisdom, more humour, more likeable characters and hot but flawed guys. There is a whole cast of great secondary characters and I hope there are follow up books about mysterious Lucian (Lucy) and whatever is going on with sassy Librarian Sloane and about Knox's brother Nash.
Naomi's 11 year old niece has had a difficult childhood with her mum, Tina (the evil twin). But she has turned out likeable, smart, mature and funny. The relationship between her and her Aunt Naomi (the good twin) and Knox is at the heart of the book and it is heartwarming story. There are lots of people and dogs in this book who come together to protect and support Naomi and her niece - family by birth and by choice - and it makes the book feel warm, loving and fun, despite the difficult start Naomi's niece has had.
I can't wait for more Knockemout books and in the meantime I will be reading more Lucy Score books!

One of those rare romances when I really felt like the heroine ended up with the wrong guy. Naomi is a sweetheart, generous kind and selfless , she deserved a decent man like Nash. Nash is tall, gorgeous, brave and has it together , but our heroine chooses his bad boy brother Knox instead. [sigh, men don't change dear] Knox is a 14 year old in a Neanderthals body, forever pushing her around. When he commits the ultimate sin - having sex with her one last time, knowing he's going to dump her straight afterwards - on the pretext that she deserves one last fabulous orgasm before he runs out on her [yep you read that correctly] - he is then dead to me for the rest of the book. The reason for his cruel behaviour? He'd lost people he loved. Well boo hoo, we all have, no excuse. I rooted for Nash I really did , but I knew it wouldn't happen. The arrogant Knox is so convinced of his irresistibility that he actually tells Naomi he's going to marry her before he even asks her. It was a real shame because its a good story but I couldn't shake the feeling that Naomi ended up with the booby prize. So I was left feeling a bit flat. I just skimmed the epilogue its too long and too cheesy.

Lucy Score has absolutely excelled herself with this book, I loved every single main character and side character, I’m honestly so glad it said at the end there’s more to come from Knockemout because I’m not ready to leave this small town at all.

I was gripped from the get go of being introduced to Naomi who really enters with all the drama and sass, I loved her immediately. Knox follows quickly and I absolutely loved him and their first encounter, you could feel their chemistry straight away but definitely not insta-lovey, the tension was fantastic.

Waylay oh how you made me feel so much, I loved the growth she took and the huge family unit she ended up gathering along the way.

Now Knox made me mad when he called things off and I gasped, voice noted my friend in outrage and had to take 5. For me there wasn’t enough grovelling on his behalf but I did like how he knew immediately he made a mistake.

I want to live in Knockemout and I can’t wait for the next book whoever it may be.. I’m secretly hoping it’s Lucy and Sloane and I hope Nash gets a happily ever after too! Loved the sibling rivalry and relationship.
