5.0 out of 5 starsFunny optimistic triplet drama
Reviewed in Australia on 1 April 2017
This is not my absolute favourite book from Liane Moriarty, but it's still an excellent read. It has all the good ingredients of 'Big Little Lies' and 'What Alice Forgot' including love hate sibling relationships and lots of very funny moments. It feels so much like real life, almost like your own memories. Being one of several Irish sisters I have actually had a fork stuck in me by an angry sister, as happens in the wonderful opening scene.

Three triplets having their annual birthday dinner in a restaurant have an ugly fight that ends up with trips to the hospital. Gemma, Cat and Lyn are all facing life events. Cat is trying to deal with her husband's infidelity. Gemma is damaged by a past relationship and Lyn can't stop being a superwoman. The themes of having children, not having children, trust and betrayal run though this book. It's not a downer though, on the contrary it's very funny and optimistic. Highly recommended.

This is the third Liane Moriarty book I’ve read, and my least favourite. Couldn’t warm to the characters as I have before.
So much drama is rather tiring. Couldn’t stop reading it though, wanted to see how certain situations were resolved.

I am again dazzled by Liane Moriarty’s skill at telling a story. Life, and Sydney, and triplets, and messy relationships, words flung onto a page, and resulting in a masterpiece Pro Hart would have been proud of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Great Read

This book has some of the most great things in a book, it is by an Australian, about Australians, in Australia and has been true to us Australians in the way we are....however jail instead of the spelling goal is always annoying when ever I see it in our writing, newspapers and the like >:{ we are not American
But that is pretty much all I can fault about a fantastic read. I have found a piece of each of the email characters in myself, which is highlighted be the way in which they also show them finding different side to themselves. Even the men, so I goes to show that everyone has a bit of most personalities within them, we usually only show one most of the time we just don't show them all the time....be boring I everyone was the same all the time, wouldn't it!? Thanks for the great read Laine

As an avid reader i am amazed, no ashamed, I've not heard of Liane Moriarty until 2 weeks ago. Now finished my second story by her. Interesting characters, entirely believable and in everyday situations. Not the genre i generally go for, back am now going back for more. Tears and gigles in this book. Loved it!!

I absolutely loved this book!!!!

The characters are truly memorable and I loved the interplay between the relationships. There are little touches that make this book truly special and back stories that shed light on how they each developed into such different personalities. Although they are triplets and very close they do not necessarily know all of each other's secrets. The book takes you on a journey through each of their lives and some of it is heartbreaking as you become so attached to them early on and life definitely throws some curveballs their way.

Also as a resident of Sydney Australia it was thrilling to actually know the locations mentioned in the book and made the story become even more alive for me.

This is the second Liane Moriarty book I've read and as soon as I finished I had to buy a third. Her stories are so powerful and really stay with you.

I know this book in particular I will be reading again one day as I was sad to say good-bye to these sisters. I would even go so far to say as this is now in my top 5 favourite books of all time.

I was a littleconfused at the begining but once I figured out the characters I got into it and enjoyed the story.
Being set in Sydney was a good change from British or American writing. I got into the small snippits of memory from strangers who interacted with the triplets throughout the book.
It was well crafted story telling and I began to understand each character.
I will look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the third book of Moriartys I hotel have read. I'm fast becoming a huge fan. A very easy to read style that has you hooked from the beginning. The author knows how to create the right amount of interest that you have to keep finding out more about the characters. I have recommended to several friends and recommend it to you!

Slow burn. Kept waiting for something to happen but it never really did. I find this with many of her books.

I seriously laughed my head off, cried, got pissed off, cheered and let's face it, really REALLY enjoyed this book.
You don't need anything more.
Love Liane's work.
I'm working my way through all of her books and shall be quite annoyed when I'm all caught up and left waiting for another.
