Purchased for a friend and immediately listened to when it arrived, I can confidently review this release knowing it’s a good quality pressing on beautiful transparent vinyl. The music is of course also worthy of a five star review but restricting a Bee Gees best of to a two record set is going to be leaving out one or two favourites. This collection only covers from 1966 - 1987 but as far as career highlights go, it’s a damn fine résumé.

Product description
There is a spirituality about this album and these songs always meant the most to us. So, it is extraordinary that it came together in such a natural way. I chose the songs with the intention of having a chronological order to the whole album, and although there are many other songs, these songs I feel are the songs that Maurice, Robin, and I would be most proud of. These songs represent the path of our lives, moments in time. Moments that will never be forgotten. - Barry Gibb

Bought this for the Sat Night Fever soundtrack tracks - otherwise not heard of 80% of the other tunes.
CD nicely presented, tracks all sound good.

Every Ten Years
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 April 2017Verified Purchase
In 1967, the Bee Gees appeared internationally with “Bee Gees 1st”. In 1977, the Bee Gees were on the brink of “Saturday Night Fever” mania. In 1987, the Bee Gees came back with the great album “ESP”. In 1997 they released “Still Waters” and were awarded the ‘International Award Bee Gees – AMA’ and the ‘Brits Award’. In 2007 they received the ‘BMI awards’ and now in 2017, they are releasing this collection of classics with the 40th anniversary of “Saturday Night Fever”.
It’s almost daunting to think about how many compilations the Bee Gees have released over the years. There are simply dozens. So why release this collection? Capitol Records is cashing in on the group along with a new release (including 180g vinyl) of “Saturday Night Fever”. If these albums sell enough, perhaps Capitol will fulfill their promise to release further unreleased tracks from the Bee Gees past. One can only hope.
Note that this collection contains all the #1 hits, and all the Top 20 hits ‘in the USA’. “Spicks And Specks” and “You Win Again” are the odd ones out, but they did reach #1 in Australia and the UK respectively. “More Than A Woman” simply had to be included to coincide with “Saturday Night Fever”.
The sound? Its as good as it is going to get. These songs have been remastered over and over again. They sound clean, clear and balanced. Barry’s liner notes are short and sweet, but give little more information to the average listener. If you don’t have a greatest hits collection, you will enjoy this, however, I still can’t think of anything better than the “Bee Gees Ultimate” collection (with DVD).
The liner notes consist of all the songs with title, writer(s), release date and producer. There are no liner notes other than Barry’s comment. There are a few photos including one of all their albums. The cover made me think it looked like a Christmas album, but then, it is the music that matters. I do hope Capitol Records gets more creative with more material, especially the unreleased songs.

The BeeGees CD Timeless - All their greatest hits. If you love their songs this is the one to buy.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2018Verified Purchase
This is a nostalgic trip of my adolescents and a grown up. There is the information on when these songs were
recorded and its from the early days and the music is fabulous. So sad that there is only one bee gee left. Amazing artists
I love one more hour, the mining disaster, blame it all on the nights on Broadway . The only two tracks I don't like
are staying alive and you should be dancing, I think. This CD is going to give me hours of pleasure. The name of the CD is Timeless -
All time greatest hits.

All of Bee Gees in a single unit

Undoubtedly a good "compilation".
Most new vinyl releases come with high-quality remastering nowadays.
This however, does not sound as if it's been remastered!
Inherently BeeGees recordings were of poor quality, on the harsher side & with less body than ideal.
Probably they were mastered to keep the unique mix of falsetto and other medicore timbres in the forefront.
Here too, the sound somehow isnt right!

The Best Thing About This Compilation Is That Their Hits In The 60s Ate Here For ATCO ( USA ) As Well As Their Later Massive Sides For RSO ( They Helped Pay For Robert Stigwood's $10 Million Yacht )
Not A Huge Fan Anyway, But Wanted A " Collection " To Add To My CD Library. (3,000+ )
I Searched For The Best Releases On CD And Finally Found This One Suited The Bill.
On Most CD Issues, You Get One ( ATCO ) Or The Other ( RSO ) But Rarely Both.
So, Without Going Further, This Seems To Be The Ticket If You Want Their Well-Known Output Over The Decades.

What happened to the brilliant track World
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 July 2017Verified Purchase
Just bought this album and I really like it but along with the album Mythology the track World has been omitted which is a shame because that was a brilliant track from a brilliant year of 60s music 1967 although I must admit that the rest of the album. If you want all their brilliant tracks it would be better buying the greatest hits the record the one with the red cover
