About the Author

Tommy Lee was born in Athens, Greece, and moved with his family to California at the age of one. In his musical career he is famous for being the wild drummer of one of the most successful and outrageous bands of the 1980s. A master showman, Lee's antics included performing onstage with a revolving drum kit. Since Mötley Crüe, he has devoted himself to the rap-metal act Methods of Mayhem, on which he collaborated with programming expert Scott Humphrey and rapper TiLo. Thomas Lee Bass (born October 3, 1962), best known as Tommy Lee, is a Greek-American musician and founding member of heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. As well as being the band's long-term drummer, Lee founded rap-metal band Methods of Mayhem, and has pursued solo musical projects. He has been married to model Elaine Starchuk and actresses Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson.

Anthony Bozza is a New York City native author and journalist who has penned multiple New York Times and international bestselling books. His career began as a staff writer for Rolling Stone magazine where he wrote the first national cover story on rapper Eminem in 1999. His first book, Whatever You Say I Am: The Life and Times of Eminem (2003), the definitive story of the rapper's rise to fame, was a runaway bestseller in the US and UK and was published in fourteen foreign languages. He has co-written bestsellers with Slash of Guns n' Roses, Tommy Lee of Motley Crue, and three books with comedian Artie Lange including the number one NYT bestseller Too Fat to Fish. Bozza has also written the autobiographies of Wyclef Jean, INXS, Tracy Morgan, and Mick Fleetwood, Why AC/DC Matters, a biography of the Australian rock band, as well as a follow up to his Eminem biography titled Not Afraid: The Evolution of Eminem. I really loved this book: it is very easy to read (though don't let that influence you into thinking that it isn't any good), full of interesting stories and also Tommy's musings on various subjects. Best thing about this book is that it is written in a style that makes it seem as if Tommy is sitting in the room next to you telling you all of this personally - it seems Bozza (co-writer) is very talented at what he does, as I have read other work involving him and it has a similar style.
There are moments that make you laugh out loud, some that make you cry (seriously!) and some very profound thoughts on the world.
DEFINITELY well worth a read.
