Great supporting chair

Love this product. I'm a bigger dude and it supports me just fine. If you want to see a review on youtube go to Kent Survial, long camp / kit review, he has one on there, also not a small lad. The weight of packing this seat for overnight walk in camp trips is not much to add to your kit at all. Having the back support from a chair on these trips has change the trips itself. Can sit quite low and so can sit in a tent on one.

Good chair with quality control issue

I bought two of these and I like them. There was a quality control issue with both chairs. The ends of the horizontal struts on both chairs were cut off sharp (fortunately the ends of the legs and seat support poles have smooth edges). On first disassembly while manipulating hubs on one chair the shock cord was cut through. Initially I blamed myself but on inspection saw that the ends were sharp on this tube for both chairs. I cut the the cord on the second chair deliberately and deburred the tube ends before replacing the shock cord with some 4mm shock cord from the hardware store. The original is 3mm but 4mm fits fine. You only need enough tension to locate the tubes as the hubs are forced together by the tension of the seat. I used sandpaper and a small grinding bit to deburr but it could be done with sandpaper alone.

I pushed my budget with this one expecting it to last. It feels higher quality than a £20 chair but still broke after 6 months, I suspect the leg may have bent slightly after transport and been weakened.

The chair is great but first time using it I have lost 3 of the plastic feet so the chair now sinks anywhere. It would be great if I could get some replacements.

If you buy this chair, glue the feet to the legs to avoid losing them!

Ocupa poco espacio plegada y es ligera, el tejido y las terminaciones son aceptables. Compré una para probar antes de comprar mas y me alegro de haberlo hecho, no creo que pida mas de estas, no porque sean malas pero no es lo que busco exactamente. Son demasiado bajas para estar en una mesa para comer, son un poco inestables y para completar el montaje hace falta fuerza para enganchar las esquinas superiores, no es difícil pero mi hija de 12 no podría montarla. Por último, trae una correitas para facilitar el montaje y desmontaje tirando de ellas, una se rompió al primer tirón y ahora tengo que tirar haciendo pinza con los desos lo que lo hace más difícil de montar.

Der Stuhl kam wie erwartet sehr pünktlich und gut verpackt an. Die Verpackung ist schön, könnte etwas platzsparender sein aber dank der Gurtschlaufen lässt sie sich im Zweifelsfall auch außen am Rucksack befestigen. Der Aufbau und das Konzept sind echt sehr gut. Sowohl auf Schotter als auch in der Wohnung oder auf der Straße stehen die Beine schonmal sicher ohne einzusinken. Über die Qualität bin ich mir unsicher. Ich wiege 105 Kilo, womit ich noch 25 Kilo unter dem Maximalgewicht für den Stuhl liegen. Allerdings "biegen" sich entweder die Beine oder aber die Plastikteile, in denen die Beine verankert sind bei kleinsten Bewegungen schon sehr stark mit. Dadurch entsteht kein sehr sicherer Eindruck und leider leidet darunter auch der Sitzkomfort, da ich ständig erwarte, das der Stuhl unter mir entweder zerbricht oder sich irgendwie auseinander biegt. Vielleicht bin ich auch einfach übervorsichtig aber das Biegen und Neigen zeigt der Stuhl auch bei meiner Frau, die deutlich leichter ist als ich.
Ich werde den Stuhl mal eine Weile testen und schauen, ob sich am Eindruck was verbessert oder er tatsächlich bald unter mir nachgibt. Vielleicht hätte ich auch einfach das "Plus"-Modell testen müssen.
Naja, die Langzeitbewertung werde ich hier auf jeden Fall nachreichen.

Cheaper alternative to helinox, but not perfect

Certainly not capable of 280 lbs, probably only 200. Felt wobbly under my 180 lbs, but adequate for lighter people. The chair sits more upright than a helinox and is slightly taller. This is the best chair among the cheap alternatives but the quality still isn’t perfect. The elastics are the weak point, coming undone or breaking after a handful of uses. You can fix it easily enough, but a little disappointing none the less. The side pockets are useful for a phone, and the cheap sand skirt is a nice bonus.

-Some of the fabric on the chair tore right away within hours of using the product (on some of the fabric hidden underneath the chair) - this didn't change the usability of the chair but we were concerned about the chair's construction quality after this happened. We bought two chairs and both immediately tore within first use.

Conclusion: Returned the chairs on account of tearing (and concern for chairs' longevity)
