Cate what a storyteller you are! The Tyrant Alpha’s Rejected Mate is a riveting tale of love, longing, and betrayal. I love the build up of the journey the two main characters go on. It’s not insta love, or teenage angst (thank goodness, I love you for that). There is a real story, and it works I think, because they both have life experience, which resonates with the reader. Their story is slowly revealed to the reader as the book progresses. And can I just add, I loved the little twist with Killian, and the dynamic of their relationship (no spoilers). There are no plot holes, every scene has a purpose, the secondary characters are well rounded and interesting enough to require their own stories, and given the length of the novel, everything is well paced out, not rushed, or cliche. I loved the bonus epilogue, it was just as entertaining as the book. I’m sure there is so much more I could say, but I will end with, if you are after a shifter story with actually a great story, 🔥🔥, something that will make you feel, and transport you to their world, this book is it! One Click this book! Congratulations Cate on another excellent job! Can’t wait for your next book!

This book was not perfect and not DNF material, but a well rounded book with favourite tropes swept inside it's pages.
It had all the elements of several tropes, which is rejected mate, grumpy Alpha, shifter, strong female protagonist.

The Tyrant Alpha’s Rejected Mate was such a great read. Killian and Una we the perfect couple and I really enjoyed the exploration of pack life, especially for those lower down in the hierarchy. Una is a strong and determined woman who really came into her own, despite having such a challenging and painful life. I wasn’t sure about her mate, Killian, at first. He didn’t seem to be particularly deep, but as the story progressed his character was so wonderfully explored and his motivation for everything he did was so beautiful and pure. I’d never read a book where it was common for fated mates to take other partners, and this was an interesting twist to werewolf lore. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series!

Wow an amazing shifter romance. Una is broken but strong and when she finally shifts and finds her mate he regects her and has her thrown out with the trash. My heart absolutely broke at some of Killian's bull headed stupid moments. But I adored their journey together.

This might just be my favourite read of 2021. I was hooked from the first page. I loved these characters and the authors take on fated mates. The dual POV was just what I needed to fall for both of these wolves. Can’t wait for more from this world.

He's more like a grumpy ignorant male than a tyrant but anyway, this is a GREAT book. You've gotta read it if you love mate rejection & grovel!

I liked the book but at some parts it was confusing and some things was not cleared at the end. Like why Unas wolf is so extremely small and week, but described size differences, her wolf size sound like a small dog which should be impossible not just because she’s a she-wolf who naturally should be bigger than normal wolf, but she’s also alpha female, reason was never explained. Also how her parents died. How is it possible that Kenedies wolf is male while she’s female, why Maria and her mate is not together. Too many unexplained things.

This was fab and very engaging it’s a rejected mate shifter romance and easily managed to capture my attention. The Quarry pack seems stuck in the dark ages though it’s a lot better than it was when the former Alpha Killian Kellys father was in charge. Now Killian leads the pack and though he has implemented some changes it’s still very much a pack of hierarchy and being both female and then having a bust leg puts Una firmly at the bottom.

After years of her wolf hiding Una suddenly goes into her first heat and shift in the middle of a communal dinner she instantly recognises her mate in the pack Alpha Killian but he not only then publicly rejects her but also manages to humiliate her.

In pain alone and rejected Una allows the pack crone to yank her mate bond right out of her and the relief is instant. She’s now able to finally breathe through the repercussions and agony of Killian’s rejection and decides there and then that she wants nothing more to do with the arrogant Alpha that is her mate.

Killian is a little bit dense I was able to deal with his drama because he’s basically clueless. He doesn’t really reject Una for cruelty’s sake but because he honestly believes she’s not his mate. Now his wolf is playing up and it’s set its sights firmly on Una and very gradually he starts to realise he’s maybe made a terrible mistake one that might now lose him everything if he can't get Una to forgive him.

There’s a lot wrong with this pack but what I liked was the resilience of the single females. They’ve got their own side racket going which pays for all the things that are forbidden to them within the pack like electronics and internet and they’ve also then managed to keep it hidden for the past ten years.

Una is such a strong character she has a quiet determination and is extremely protective over those she considers family. I loved that she had a backbone and gave Killian hell not rolling over and playing nice and after the way, he treated her he deserved to work for her forgiveness.

This was enjoyable well written and such an easy read. Killian does evolve so much through the course of this and he totally managed to win me over with his ability to change for the better. And once he realises his mistake he’s all in and totally possessive and growly. I totally recommend this one it was great.

Slightly different take on mates and shifter society, which is refreshing. Una is funny and you will LOL, while Killian is a douche that you can’t help root for. Now what I really want is Kennedy and Tye’s story. I hope that’s our next book!!! Can’t wait to read what is published next in the series
